She executed all of these well with good control to locate very hittable options in all directions. Look for her competing alongside some of the top arms at this event with SIVBC’s top 16U team this club season.

Burton has the size and skills to push her way up the rankings; the Mount Vernon setter is also strong on the right side, taking advantage of her 5’11” length to score with a heavy arm swing. She recognizes when she needs to make an emergency move to deliver a quality set- adroitly pivoting off one on the run or planting her feet and firing a long, fast tempo ball to the outside. Butron is currently ranked at #22 overall and has a terrific all-around game.

Burton played both positions for WVBA at the tournament over the weekend, sliding seamlessly from front-row attacker to back-row setter. Her size and power delivered kills from both pins, and she has strong hands when she is up and blocking. Burton delivers clean sets with neutral hands and a consistent set-up, she doesn’t telegraph her set choices to the defense.

Burton is a 2028 S/RS from Mount Vernon with excellent size and movement for a young player. At 5’10”, she was effective blocking at the Expo and showed solid location and tempo on her sets. Burton has a high ceiling, and we expect her to have an excellent club season.
