2024 End-Of-Season “Kill” Leaders in Nevada

The energy was at an all-time high, with players stepping up their game and hitting new career milestones. Now that all the stats are finalized on Maxpreps.com and NIAA.com, it's time to shine a spotlight on the top players who led in their respective skill categories. These athletes didn't only focus on the numbers—they put in the hard work for themselves and their teammates. Watson was a major contributor to Bishop Gorman's 5A Southern Region title and 5A State Championship win. She also earned multiple individual awards, including First Team All-Region, First Team All-Conference, and Player of the Year. The talented hitter tallied an impressive 459 kills this season, along with 360 digs, 77 aces, and 33 blocks. Vlaming was also named the MaxPreps 2024-2025 Player of the Year for Centennial High School, and it was well-deserved. The 4A back-to-back state champ had an incredible senior season, winning the 4A Player of the Year award for the second year in a row. This season, she put up impressive numbers in multiple skill categories. In addition to kills, she racked up 198 digs, 64 aces, and finished with a .419 hitting percentage. This season, she played a huge role in helping Coronado secure second place in the state, reach the 5A Southern Regional Championship, and make it to the 5A Nevada state title game. Julie finished the season with an impressive 391 kills (averaging 4.1 per set), 166 digs, 56 aces, and a .303 hitting percentage. The 6'2" middle blocker dominated the 2A class, recording 382 kills and averaging 4.2 kills per set. Unlike many middle blockers, Gajar also racked up a significant number of digs, collecting 207 this season. The senior added 68 blocks and 80 aces to cap off her career with a big bang. She put up some very impressive numbers and shows no signs of slowing down. This season, she collected 359 kills, averaging about 3.5 per set. But that's not all she's good at—she also tallied 289 digs and 76 aces. Luna is just as dominant in beach volleyball, earning a scholarship to play for Boise State's beach volleyball team.
