Minnesota Top 250 Expo: Standout Pins-The First Five

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There was so much talent in the gym this morning at the Minnesota Top 250 Expo. This was my first time attending a Prep Dig event as a scout so it has been really cool to be able to see so much talent up close! Not even 10 minutes after stepping onto the court, I was already beyond impressed with the natural talent and knowledge of the game that these girl displayed. Her knowledge for the game is shown through her leadership on the court and constant communication. Her ability to place the ball anywhere and see the open court is what takes her game to the next level, and dang that girl can pound the ball! I love how fearless she plays even with a massive block up in front of her! Her heavy arm swing and high vertical make her presence on the court known to all. Her ability to be quick in transition and ready for every ball makes her such a valuable player. I was super impressed with her ability to set up a big block and get lots of touches. She is another player who radiates confidence and her energy is infectious to whoever is on the court with her. I was blown away with her versatility on the court, being able to step in and take a hard swing at every ball and lay out for every ball on defense. She may not be as tall as some other outsides, however her vertical is much higher than others, which allows her to get around a big block and put the ball down. She may just be on the Watch List right now, but I have a feeling she is going to climb the rankings if she keeps performing like she did today. Wimberger is explosive and powerful on the right side. When she plays, you can tell she has an exceptionally high volleyball IQ, using the block to her advantage and finding the open court. She has such a powerful swing and is nearly unstoppable when hitting down the line. I was super impressed with how she communicated with her setters and adjusted to every ball that came her way! She is a player that is going to be really hard to stop the next three years of her high school career!
