At over 1,200 career kills for Hoover, Ellis is a senior offensive force that certainly deserves her flowers. At nearly 100 kills in her freshman season, she has since been a major factor and offensive component for a squad that has battled well in preparation for the start of their 2025 postseason journey that begins on Monday versus Mayfield. At 6’0, Ellis can generate big lift at a near 10′ touch and uses a speedy and fluid arm to swing with good control to carve up the defense. Committed to Cleveland State, her current stat line includes 4.7 k/s, 15.3 d/m, 1.4 b/m, and 58 service aces.

The Cleveland State commit makes a splash entering into the 2026 rankings at #22. She was the primary threat for Hoover during the high school season as she had a career best 445 total kills for a 5.2 k/s average. Ellis twice went for over 30 kills this past fall season including a performance of 35 kills in a big 3-2 win over Perry. She makes the move to compete for AVC’s 17-Red team adding length and a big arm and increasing their pin depth.
