As we gear up for the rest of the club season, it's the perfect time to spotlight a few players who caught my eye on Sunday. These athletes showed skill, grit, and determination. She was all over the court, making the impossible, possible for her team. Lyndee makes a point to try and get her hands on every ball possible, and her speed helps her do this. She displayed intelligent decision-making when the game was tight; She knew when her OHs were being held up by blockers, and chose to flip it back creating an open net for her RS. As a 6 rotation setter, she gave it her all this weekend, on defense and offense. Lyndee's hands are strong, so she can get away with stand setting and sending the ball to great lengths with a clean touch. She squares up well, ensuring her location is accurate. The final note on Lyndee was just how aggressive her serving was this weekend. She could spot serve and get the ball down the line away from passers, giving them no chance. She was a force at the net with her speedy footwork, quick arm swing, and incredible vertical- she was unstoppable. Abighail has a knack for adjusting to any situation- whether the set is tight, off the net, or outside the antenna- she finds a way to deliver a powerful, well-placed attack. Her quick transitions from defense to offense were seamless, keeping her team in control during fast-paced rallies. Her court awareness and adaptability stood out, as she could read blockers and made smart shot choices, whether going line, cross-court, or tipping over the block to open space in the donut. Hayden impressed me with her hustle, digging tough balls out of the net to keep plays alive. Her clean hands and accurate location allowed her hitters to thrive, while her strategic dumps to the deep corners caught defenders off guard. On the right side, she excelled at running slides and mac attacks utilizing her power and heavy arm to put balls away. Her timing and connection with her setter made her an offensive weapon. At the service line, Brinley was nothing short of dominant, earning ace after ace with her low, flat, and strategically placed float serves. Her serve was constantly disrupting opponents' passing and it helped give her team a significant advantage. Whether attacking, serving, or blocking, Brinley brought energy and execution.
