Raya was a competitor and leader on the court this weekend. Her mental game was incredibly strong. She played with her heart on her sleeve and brought an immense amount of joy and passion to every point. She was nearly impossible to take off the court and played in all six rotations as a setter and right side. When she was on offense, her shots were smart, and she wasn’t afraid to swing in big moments. As a setter, she kept all of her hitters involved and was a gritty defender. Raya also had a highly competitive serve that kept her behind the service line multiple points in a row.

Raya is one of those players that does a ton of things well, including attacking. Swinging from the right pin, Zurfluh found the seam many times and also went around the block to score numerous points. When she rotates to the backrow, Zurfluh runs the offense. Her court awareness and overall game understanding is very high for a player of her age.
