About Piper

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a steady and quick-thinking setter who thrives on keeping opponents guessing. I pride myself on my court awareness, decision-making, and love for the mental side of the game. As a leader, I give 110% effort and aim to energize my team. I’m a well-rounded player—scrappy on defense and a strong blocker at the net—always looking to elevate my team’s performance.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am highly competitive and thrive under pressure, always seeking feedback to improve. My strong work ethic has helped me develop quickly as a setter through extra training and film. I see challenges as learning opportunities and stay resilient in tough moments. As a leader, I naturally lead by example but am working to be a more vocal presence to inspire my team.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I play saxophone in the school band and lacrosse for my school's club team.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am naturally a quiet and stoic leader that leads by example, but have been working hard to become more of a vocal and energizing force for my team. I love the strategic side of volleyball and am constantly trying to improve my court awareness and volleyball IQ.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My biggest volleyball challenge has been my late start to setting. I transferred schools in the 8th grade and had the opportunity to try setting and I loved it! I officially started setting full-time during my 8th grade club season. I realized I had a lot of catching up to do and have been putting in all the time and effort I can to improve since.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that offers good academics, a competitive volleyball program, and a supportive and positive team culture.
