may be the youngest player in this group, but her ability to embrace pressure already stands out.
With her team needing one final point to avoid a third set, she recognized the ball heading outside, transitioned early, pressed over the net, and delivered the block that ended the match.
I was so proud and happy that I was able to get a block when we needed it the most.
That awareness under pressure stands out at any age.
One of the biggest jumps in her game this season has been scoring range. Cross-court swings are no longer her only option. Deep corners, line, sharp angles, and the ten-foot zone are all becoming part of her offensive identity.
Faith shapes how she competes, how she treats people, and how she stays grounded when the scoreboard gets loud.
With SCSN Championships ahead, Rhylie’s game feels fearless, versatile, and very much worth tracking as her journey continues.

is focused on becoming a more explosive and complete player. She is training endurance, vertical, speed, and agility so she can stay strong and dynamic deep into rallies. The showcase gave her a fast-paced environment to compete in, and she embraced every rep as a chance to grow and learn from new coaches. Rhylie wants coaches to see a quick learner who makes adjustments with ease and swings with intent and power.
Her work ethic and coachability set her apart. Rhylie is determined to find a program and mentor who will continue to bring out her best while helping her reach new levels of play. She thrives on competition and loves the challenge of earning her place through effort and execution.

, a 2032 six-rotation outside hitter for Sunshine Hurricanes, connects deeply with her African-American heritage. For her, it represents courage, resilience, and hard work. She draws strength from a history of individuals who fought for every opportunity, and that legacy fuels her daily efforts in life and in volleyball. Her identity motivates her to compete with purpose, playing not just to win, but to represent her culture, her family, and the community that stands behind her. Volleyball is more than a game for Rhylie; it is a way to carry a legacy forward with pride.
She credits her private coach, Coach Uche, as her greatest influence in the sport. A former professional player, Coach Uche brings deep knowledge and energy to every session. He challenges Rhylie to push beyond her limits and helps her build confidence, even when she’s trying something new. His belief in growth through practice has shaped her work ethic and her mindset. He’s more than just a coach to her, he’s a role model and motivator who makes her want to keep getting better.
Though early in her volleyball journey, Rhylie already offers powerful advice to younger African-American athletes. She encourages them to work hard, even when no one is watching, and to take pride in standing out. Being the only one who looks like you on a team can be tough, but it’s also a sign of strength. Rhylie believes your difference is your power. Her message is clear: be confident, be kind, and know that you belong, on the court, in the conversation, and in every space you dream of occupying. ~ Michelle Bamford @coachable247

, class of 2032, is already laying a strong foundation for a promising volleyball career. A key player for the Sunshine Hurricanes, Rhylie’s commitment to becoming a well-rounded athlete is evident in her passion and drive both on and off the court.
Rhylie recently created a standout workout reel that highlights her dedication to improvement and growth. After finishing a demanding two-and-a-half-hour practice with her club team, she sought out an outdoor amphitheater for an impromptu workout. Despite being tired, she insisted on using the opportunity to focus on exercises that would help her jump higher. Rhylie not only participated but also directed the shoot, crafting the exercises and angles herself, showcasing her creativity and determination.
The reel took on a deeper meaning after a conversation about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy. Inspired by her favorite quote, “If I can’t fly, then run…if I can’t run, then walk, if I can’t walk, then crawl, but whatever I do, I have to keep moving,” the video became a powerful fusion of Rhylie’s grit and Dr. King’s profound message. It serves as a reminder of Rhylie’s relentless pursuit of her dreams and her desire to inspire others.
Rhylie’s volleyball schedule is a testament to her dedication. She practices three times a week with her club, attends middle school clinics, and participates in speed and jump conditioning sessions on Saturdays. She also fits in private lessons when possible to enhance her volleyball IQ and refine her skills, including zone hitting, pass anticipation, and transitions.
Beyond volleyball, Rhylie is a well-rounded individual with a love for music, animals, and simple joys like riding her electric scooter and exploring new adventures. Off the court, she is quiet and soft-spoken, but on the court, she transforms into a focused and determined leader, always giving her best effort.
As she prepares to celebrate her 11th birthday, Rhylie’s passion, dedication, and kind-hearted nature make her a young athlete to watch, both for her potential in volleyball and for the inspiration she brings to those around her. ~ Michelle Bamford @Coachable247
