About Alba

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m an agile, quick-thinking Libero/defensive specialist with a strong focus on ball control and communication. I pride myself on reading the game effectively, diving for every ball, and setting up my team for counterattacks with smart, consistent defense.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a hardworking and driven athlete with a positive mindset. I thrive under pressure, am always eager to learn and improve, and believe in supporting my teammates on and off the court.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed strong teamwork and communication skills as a Libero on my volleyball team, while my academic achievements have honed my discipline and work ethic. These experiences have built my resilience, leadership, and commitment to excellence.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

As a freshman, I transitioned into a 6–2 system as a setter on Varsity, far different from my usual DS position. It was a big adjustment, but with my coach’s trust in me, I committed to extra reps and lots of research to understand the position at a deeper level. Taking on the role of the team’s quarterback taught me confidence, leadership, and responsibility.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that offers a strong academic program paired with competitive athletic opportunities, especially in volleyball. I value a supportive community where I can grow as a leader, excel academically, and continue developing my skills as an athlete.
