Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I bring a resilient, positive, and determined mindset both on and off the court. Balancing a 4.42 GPA with leadership roles as Varsity Volleyball Captain, I pride myself on discipline, hard work, and a passion for learning. My personality is defined by a commitment to excellence and an eagerness to uplift my teammates and peers through collaboration and strategic thinking.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Yes! Outside of volleyball, I’m actively involved in Model United Nations, serve as a Linn-Mar Television Anchor/Scriptwriter, and contribute over 170 volunteer hours to my community. I’m also honored to have received the Outstanding Delegate award at the Iowa Youth Symposium and was recognized as the 9th Grade Student of the Year—accolades that showcase my diverse interests and commitment.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Through my experiences as Varsity Volleyball Captain and my active involvement in extracurriculars, I’ve honed strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. My rigorous academic achievements have sharpened my critical thinking and time management abilities, while my extensive volunteer work has instilled a deep sense of empathy and community responsibility.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
Balancing the demanding schedules of high-level athletics with rigorous academics has been one of my greatest challenges. Managing a 4.42 GPA while leading my team and engaging in multiple extracurricular activities required resilience, meticulous time management, and unwavering determination.
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m seeking a college that challenges me academically, offering a competitive, supportive athletic environment. I’m drawn to institutions that value holistic development—where I can excel both as a student and as a volleyball player. Ideally, I’d attend a school with top-notch academic programs, cutting-edge athletic facilities, and a vibrant community that encourages leadership and community.
