Must Watch Hitters in the 17’s/18s Division at Volley in the Rock

The 17's/18/s division has some of the states best teams coming to compete in Cabot. Each of these players have made their mark on the court this season and will be battling against each other. Each of these attackers can take over any game. Battles is a very consistent attacker from both the front row and the back row. Battles has a high volleyball IQ and will take strong shots down the line, deep cross, and sharp cross. Battles hardly has to worry about blockers because her contact point is well above most blockers. I only had the opportunity to watch her swing from the right side. This was enough to grab my attention. Her block shut down the outsides scoring multiple points for her team. Chandler also has an eye for seeing the court and knowing when to take shots or swinging right through the gap of the block. Jackson can run slides or quick sets out of the middle. Jackson is a consistent middle on her LRJ 17 National team almost always putting the ball into the floor. Jackson can close the block on both pins really well using the right footwork and taking big steps. Her explosive approach and fast arm swing contributes to many of the points for her team. Butler swings around the block really well. She has a very effective and powerful line shot that has been very difficult for the opposing defense to defend.
