Our latest features have honed in on Nebraska's Class of 2026, a group loaded with uncommitted athletes with impact potential at the next level. We've already covered a handful of ASICS President's Day Classic standouts who fit this description, but we can expand further with another feature.

The Class of 2026 primarily populates this year's 17s age group, but we're starting this feature with the 18s. Glock plays up with Banzai VBC 18 Select and is a key piece of the team's elite operation. This Ashland-Greenwood standout can excel on either pin and hits with incredible power in the frontcourt. Her scoring prowess captured our attention last fall, and now Glock is racking up big-time wins with Banzai VBC. An 18 Club division championship is the perfect way to set up another wave of high-pressure events.

Let's stick with the Banzai VBC standouts. Walz is a do-everything attacker for 17 Select, which earned a 6-2 overall record at the President's Day Classic. This Papillion-La Vista South junior can swap between middle blocker and opposite, adding to 17 Select's versatility at the net. Walz had an outstanding showing at the season-opening Northern Lights Qualifier and thrived again while competing on home turf.

Simpson has transformed her scouting report with Club Legacy 17 Alpha. We've watched this Omaha Marian athlete produce dominant outings as a pin hitter, but she has expanded her positional range during the 2025 season. Simpson is effectively a pin-middle hybrid in the Club Legacy gym who can hit any tempo in any spot. 17 Alpha loves to lob up a 2-ball in the middle of the net and let Simpson go to work. This dynamic athlete belongs in our next rankings update.

Premier Nebraska 17 Silver keeps piling up wins with its unorthodox lineup. Pin hitters must do a lot of work for 17 Silver, and Sliva is always up to the task. She finds ways to terminate even when opposing blockers are camped out to shut her down. Sliva can also adapt to hitting on either side of the setter and has incorporated some crossing patterns into her repertoire. A podium finish in Omaha has elevated 17 Silver's expectations for the road ahead.

The past several months have been big for VanSkiver. She was a past standout on the Prep Dig Circuit and piloted the Hastings St. Cecilia offense in her junior year. That squad broke into the state tournament, allowing VanSkiver to showcase her skills against the state's best. VanSkiver returned to the Nebraska Juniors 17 Red lineup and compiled a winning record over the holiday weekend. Her combination of setting prowess and defensive instincts has offered a constant boost to 17 Red in any situation.

Bassett is more than willing to carry a heavy offensive burden. She was a high-volume scorer for Omaha Burke last fall, and the same theme is playing out with Nebraska Elite 17 Blasters. This springy left-side hitter has a knack for finding the open court and wielding her off-speed shots in the perfect spots. 17 Blaster is also not afraid to put Bassett in the back row and allow her to operate in the middle-back area. We're eager to see how Nebraska Elite 17s depth develops throughout the 2025 season.
