About Addie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I like to play calm and scrappy on the court. I am uplifting and energetic. I play with my heart and always try my hardest to play to my full potential. I brush of my mistakes and turn them into lessons and learn from them. I am a team player and I’m happy and fully myself on the court for myself, my coaches, and my teammates.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am very hard on myself but after a mistake I shake it off and think about how I can fix it. I love to make people smile but I can also be serious when it’s time to be. I have a very strong personality and Im a easy person to bond with or talk to. I make my mentality that no challenge is too hard for me and if I fail then Im not going to next time. I have the mindset that everything is capable.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I was captain of the northside freshman cheer team. I’m in national juniors honors society and I’ve received rewards for my math intelligence.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have learned how to be a leader while uplifting people. I have learned teammate qualities such as kindness, understanding, hard working, and determination. This sport makes me want to inspire other people.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes I had a rough patch of no confidence, hesitation, being defeated, and being in my head. I learned how to overcome that and have a good mindset. I know I’m not a perfect player but what I fail at is what I can work on so I have confidence in my playing ability.

What type of college are you looking for?

Im looking for a college that has great uplifting coaching. I would also love a good education in a good area. I want a college that will make my last few years of volleyball amazing giving to life long friendships, skills and memories.
