Armstrong has developed a faster arm swing and more smooth, consistent blocking. Armstrong pounds down overpassed balls. She mixes in hard and soft hits from the pins and the middle of the net. Knapp is so successful on 31 routes that teams have to respect her there. That lets her let up and angle balls off blockers for points. She may primarily play middle, but she can make things happen from all six spots on the court. Hall takes a sound four-step approach to the net, putting a lot of power into balls. She has great form in her approach to the net. Weiter makes teams defend the entire court with her mid-air adjustments.
