Alexis will replace Sophie as the 6’1″ outside bomber. She has already committed to Iowa. Last year Lancaster reached the semi-finals before losing to Middlesex. Libero Addison George Addison George 5'6" | DS/L Lancaster | 2028 State VA ranks at 176 in our class of 2028.

In the semi-final loss to Middlesex Alexis finished with 20 kills and 19 digs. It would not surprise me to see her take the player of the year award as well. As a sophomore she made the first team all state, the youngest player on the first team.

This is a young team filled with juniors who last year started as sophomores.

Alexis moved from 15 to 10 in the rankings, putting her in the prestigious top ten. She has committed to Iowa, which will give her an opportunity to play in the Big Ten.

She is a six rotation outside for Richmond Volleyball Club , which was named by Prep Dig as one of the top five clubs in the DMV area. At 6’1″ she brings a strong arm to the left side, one who can generate excellent velocity to her spikes. While that size favors her on offense it creates some difficulty in playing defense and passing. She could use a bit more consistency in those areas, though she does a serviceable job in the back row. Her ability to provide offense to six rotations is key.

Last year Alexis led her team in kills, averaging 5.2 kills per set with a hitting percentage at .334. Playing class 1 puts her at a big advantage in collecting kills when the blockers at that class level fall on the smaller side.

Lancaster reached the semi-finals of the Class 1 state championship last year before losing to Middlesex in five. Alexis finished with a team high 20 kills in the match.

Didn’t know a lot about Alexis until I saw a video of her play. She played high school ball for Lancaster, a small Class 2A school. Once I saw the video she flew immediately on my radar.

It did not take me long to see her play. She appeared in a Prep Dig showcase in Richmond and wowed everyone with her play. She won the MVP award for the top player at the event. While she ranks at number 15 that ranking could go higher the more I see her play.

Alexis plays six rotations, providing offense from the back row as well as front row. Her back row play could use a bit more consistency, but you can say that about a lot of 6’1″ outsides.

It appears she attended a volleyball camp in Iowa. That resulted in an early commitment. The last DMV player who played at Iowa was Michelle Urquhart. Michelle played at Kempsville High in Virginia Beach and club for East Coast Volleyball Club .

Alexis is one of those players that also got lost playing for a Class 1 school that competed against Giles. Giles carried Sophie Taylor Sophie Taylor 6'1" | OH Giles | 2026 State VA , who was always winning the MVP award. Lancaster did get to the semi-finals of the Class 1 state championship this past season, where they eventually lost in the semi-finals. Next year could be her year to shine.

Alexis is now doing her damage for Richmond Volleyball club. They normally play AAUs so you won’t see her at Junior Nationals, but she is a player worth watching. Her back row play could be more consistent with her passing as well as her defense, but when it comes to offense she is dominating.

At our Prep Dig Exposure tour she was the no doubt MVP winner for the event.

Alexis moved from 36 o 15 in our 2028 rankings.

She reminds me a lot of Coco Lewis Coco Lewis 6'2" | OH VA . They both share the same height at 6’1″ as well as play left side covering six rotation. The also bring a strong, pyhsical presence to their game, not relying so much on quickness or finesse but power to get the job done.

The big difference is in high school Coco plays in a very competitive WCAC while Alexis plays Class 1. Coco also plays in the Chesapeake Region against teams like Metro and Paramount . Alexis plays in the Old Dominion Region where their club is historically the strongest program.

Playing in qualifiers gives Alexis the opportunity to test her skills against some of the stronger teams in the country. She certainly brings the skills to succeed. All the tools are there to play Division I. She just needs the eyes to show them off.
