I'll generate 10 numbers and the 10 that come up will be the ranking of the player. I'll then spotlight those players in the article to help give them some more attention.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Let's see who has the lucky numbers for this month's edition:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>113. [player_tooltip player_id='517282' first='Allie' last='Ruhlig'], OH SMCC/LevelUp</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ruhlig is an outside with a lot of versatility in her game. She's able to play anywhere along the net and put the ball home. She shows a good level of awareness and adaptability to be able to go with the flow during frantic points.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>128. [player_tooltip player_id='442990' first='Kylie' last='Freeman'], S/DS Romeo/Michigan Elite</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Freeman is an improving setter that has a strong defensive foundation as well. Her timing and awareness is improving throughout the club season and she's showing more comfortability in a leadership role. As Freeman keeps getting better with her accuracy and touch, she should keep moving up the rankings.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>94. [player_tooltip player_id='442989' first='Kyler' last='Madison'], DS/L Milford/L2</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Madison plays with a lot of tenacity in the back row. She stays light on her feet to be able to move around the floor smoothly. As she continues to get more high-level reps, Madison is getting more comfortable trusting in her skills and making some tough plays.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>1. [player_tooltip player_id='454351' first='Mallory' last='Johnson'], DS/L Byron Center/FaR Out</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Johnson is a special talent that is setting the bar for defensive play in the class. She's a dig machine because she seems to always be one step ahead of the play and knows where the ball is going. Even if she gets caught off guard, she's got the ability to make a clean pass despite having to make a dive or a sprawl.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>42. [player_tooltip player_id='526729' first='Elizabeth' last='Nordstrom'], MB Salem/Michigan Elite</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Nordstrom is a 6-foot middle that has a high ceiling and is putting up some high-quality performances this club season. Nordstrom can beat you with power or finesse, as she reads defenses well and can make last-second adjustments at the net to put the ball home.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>27. [player_tooltip player_id='456516' first='Kennedy' last='Duncan'], OH South Lyon/High Performance</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Duncan has gotten the opportunity to be a lead hitter against strong competition already in her young prep and club careers. She's showing a lot of consistency in her performance and ability to deliver when a team needs a big kill. Duncan has a clean approach to the net and a technically-smooth swing.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>16. [player_tooltip player_id='436889' first='Sophia' last='Smith'], RS Marian/Legacy</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the most improved players in the class year-over-year, Smith is proving she can do it all on the floor, and do it with intensity. At 6'2” with great explosiveness, Smith can be a major factor with her blocking and hitting, but her defensive instincts are getting better and better each week.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>130. [player_tooltip player_id='442992' first='Lucy' last='Goss'], OH Adams/High Performance</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Goss does a nice job of taking what she's given in terms of her attacks. She isn't forcing a power swing when it isn't there, and making smart plays to extend a rally. A long player, Goss can get up for the ball, and that should lead to more potent swings as she continues to improve on her timing.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>77. [player_tooltip player_id='523875' first='Kate' last='Sulkowski'], MB South Lyon/High Performance</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Another promising young South Lyon talent, the 6'1” Sulkowski has been thrown to the fire, battling against some elite middles in Michigan early in her high school career. It's led to an aggressive and confident player that has a high ceiling. Sulkowski has the athleticism to be special.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>88. [player_tooltip player_id='586766' first='Catie' last='Kuchta'], DS/L Mercy/High Performance</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kuchta tries to make the most out of each rep and point she gets. She's an attentive defender that takes in her coaching well and is able to quickly apply it on the floor. She also brings a solid serve to the court, always finding a way to make an impact.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
