The Class of 2027 formed the foundation of Nebraska ONE’s greatest triumphs this spring. Franklin added to the effort through her familiar brand of hustle, effort, and multi-faceted contributions at the middle blocker spot. Her Nebraska ONE 17 Black squad reached multiple podiums at USAV qualifiers, highlighted by a Windy City title in the 17 USA division. This run changed our perspective on this game-changing middle blocker, who also launched Lincoln Southeast to its first tournament trip since 2017. Franklin’s winning ways locked up her rise in the 2027 hierarchy, and she’s not done yet.

It’s easy to get caught up in Nebraska ONE 17 Black’s firepower on the pins, but Franklin’s presence in the middle will be just as impactful. She was a constant source of positive energy at Sunday’s event and set the tone with her hustle and effort. Franklin stretches out opposing defenses with her effective slide approach, allowing 17 Black to operate its ever-diversifying offense. Balance will be key as 17 Black pursues another run to GJNC.

Our latest Nebraska ONE entry comes from the team’s steady, consistent 16 Lime lineup. Franklin has generated plenty of effective offense on the ‘gap’ set, allowing her to operate between opposing blockers. The Lincoln East sophomore is also a constant source of on-court energy and has carried the team through several tight sets. These new additions from the Lincoln area have a ton of breakout potential.
