Austin Kingsley | Prep Dig Scout
The storylines are mounting for Nebraska ONE 17 Black. We’re about to add this crew to the Nebraska Bid Tracker after the team’s podium finish at NEQ. Williams’ steady improvement has been a huge catalyst for this milestone. She finished near the top of Lincoln Southeast’s scoring charts last fall, lifting the Knights to their first state tournament appearance since 2017. Williams quickly transitioned to Nebraska ONE 17 Black’s frontcourt and brought the heat at the opposite spot. This upward trajectory will now escalate at USAV Nationals this summer.

We’re checking back in with this hard-hitting opposite after another stellar early-season performance for Nebraska ONE 17 Black. Williams’ ascent accelerated last fall when she helped Lincoln Southeast clinch its first state tournament berth in nearly a decade. She has proven her effectiveness on both pins, but her prowess at opposite takes precedence on the club side. Williams gets on top of the ball quickly and is a perfect fit for 17 Black’s up-tempo style. A tour through NLQ’s tough 17 USA division has given Williams another boost among her 2027 peers.

Lincoln Southeast notched a postseason berth for the first time since 2017, giving us a new group of Lincoln-area stock risers to watch. Williams had already started her ascent with Nebraska ONE 16 Black and logged invaluable experience on the GJNC stage. That was a precursor to Williams’ 300-plus kill campaign with the Knights while sparring against Class A’s best. This change-up hitter has thrived in all three frontcourt positions and has put together quite a highlight tape for college recruiters.

Lincoln Southeast reached the postseason for the first time since 2017, and Williams made the most of the team’s stay in PBA. She recorded 12 kills on a 0.478 clip in LSE’s quarterfinal bout with Lincoln North Star, a team featuring many of Williams’ club teammates at Nebraska ONE . Williams has ample experience on both pins and can even run routes in the middle. That versatility will remain in the spotlight as we transition to spring competition.

Williams appeared on several big stages with Nebraska ONE 16 Black, so this fall’s Class A grind will be just another step in the process. This Lincoln Southeast standout has racked up plenty of quality reps in the middle throughout her prep career, but her right-side hitting prowess took precedence with 16 Black. Williams contributed to all phases at the opposite position and helped Nebraska ONE climb to a 16 National berth at GJNC. More accolades await in the Star City.

Williams has emerged as Nebraska ONE 16 Black’s anchor player at the right-side hitter spot. We’ve seen her oscillate between the middle and the right throughout her prep career, providing plenty of power and length at either position. Her opposite prowess took precedence at GJNC, where 16 Black slugged through a 16 National division loaded with Open-level competitors. Williams’ blocking technique was particularly impressive as she shut down opposing left-side hitters. 16 Black has also wielded Williams’ strong transition attacking to produce a balanced, unpredictable offense. This athlete is due for big strides at Lincoln Southeast this fall.

We have room for one more on that stacked 16 Black roster. Williams helps anchor the right side for this group and can flex over to the middle blocker spot if needed. Her opposite role was particularly vital at the Show Me Qualifier, where Williams helped bring 16 Black into bid contention in Kansas City.

Williams can play any position in the front row but has recently found her stride at middle blocker for Nebraska ONE 15 Black. The Lincoln Southeast prep athlete has developed an impressive attacking repertoire, which includes some assertive swings off of one foot. 15 Black also allows Williams to channel her pin-hitting experience to hit on the left side in certain rotations. Like many of the other players on this feature, Williams could have a lot of positions listed next to her name. She can rise up on either pin and shoulder a lot of attacking volume. However, Williams was also a shutdown middle blocker in Kansas City who anchored Nebraska ONE ‘s frontcourt lineup. Look out for this Lincoln Southeast athlete as we enter a pivotal week in the Great Plains Region.
