Right in lockstep with Oakland County, the Grand Rapids area is one of the real hotbeds for volleyball talent in the state of Michigan.

The Class of 2026 already has a number of D1 commits from the area, with plenty of others likely to follow. Here's the second part of our 2-part look at the top 2026 Grand Rapids talents.

[player_tooltip player_id='226900' first='Liv' last='Hosford'], OH Rockford/MVA

Hosford is a 6-foot outside that has put in a lot of time on the court against the best of the best. It's allowed her to really polish her all-around play. She started as a dominant power hitter, but has developed into a six-rotation outside with a lot of court savvy. Hosford is an Oakland University commit that will bring great experience to the college level.

[player_tooltip player_id='490341' first='Madeline' last='Ostrander'], MB GR Catholic Central/FaR Out

Ostrander is a middle with a high ceiling. She's got great athleticism and can fly off the floor, which allows her to unload some very potent attacks. Her feel for the game gets better each month and she's also showing a consistent ability to make the smart play, which makes her even more dangerous.

[player_tooltip player_id='726490' first='Nevaeh' last='Plaster'], OH/RS Northview/MVA

Plaster is an outside on the rise that could be a big breakout candidate in the state of Michigan this fall. Northview has been building success and Plaster has been part of that with a larger role likely in store this fall. She's driven and putting in the work to elevate herself and it is showing in her play. Her finishing rate is improving and the intensity of her play is hard to ignore.

[player_tooltip player_id='226939' first='Maggie' last='Szlachcic'], OH Hudsonville/FaR Out

A talented outside with a lot of good footwork, Szlachcic is a threat no matter where she is on the floor. She's shown the ability to shine in complicated offenses that ask a lot of her. But, her swing from the pins, back or middle are all on point. Szlachcic has great hang time, allowing her to make last-second adjustments that fool the defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='226936' first='Lexie' last='Stotenbur'], S FH Northern/FaR Out

Stotenbur is a polished setter that has done a great job of developing her hitters at FH Northern. The team has brought a lot of great ones through the program, but Stotenbur's consistency and timing has helped bring a new batch of talented Huskie hitters into the limelight. Stotenbur brings composure and leadership to any offense she runs.

[player_tooltip player_id='216201' first='Cara' last='Wolf'], DS/L GR Catholic Central/FaR Out

Wolf shows a lot of preparation in her play. She steps on the floor with a game plan and usually is able to execute while adapting to the hitters throughout the match. Wolf shows smooth footwork and an ability to get low to the ground so she is able to keep her offense in-system. Look for Wolf to be among the best defenders in Michigan this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='535138' first='Briawna' last='Zimmerman'], MB FH Northern/FaR Out

Zimmerman is a dynamic middle that stands 6'1” and has loads of athleticism. She's committed to Western Michigan University. Zimmerman can play with incredible quickness, leaving defenders hopeless to stop her. She's competed at a higher age level throughout most of her club career, which has allowed her to make big gains. She's even shown the ability to dominate from the right side.
