Spotlight on Sahara

She plays for [program_tooltip program_id='581540' first='501' last='Volley'] 18.2 team. Sahara played up this season, even though her classmates competed in the 17's division, and she dominated. She was a vital piece in securing big wins for her team, proving herself against older, more experienced competition. Stamps displays on-court maturity and skills that make her a consistent player in matches.

One of Sahara's most jaw-dropping athletic abilities is her vertical. She is nearing an impressive two and a half feet jump with a current approach jump of 9'8”. And she's not done yet. With summer strength training likely underway, it is possible she will add even more inches to that already explosive jump.

Mature and Relentless

Her game is developing well beyond her years. Sahara has some of the best eyework, transitions, and fast-paced movements in her class. Whether she is reading the setter, closing blocks, or sprinting into position for an out-of-system ball, Stamps brings hustle. She has a high, fast arm swing and relentless drive to improve.

The most impressive thing about Sahara isn't just the physical or technical, it's her attitude. She's been vocal about her desire to step in wherever her team needs her most. That selfless, team-first mentality, paired with her raw athletic ability, makes her an important asset and a coach's dream.

Keep An Eye Out for Stamps

She is fun to watch and even more exciting to scout, [player_tooltip player_id='750006' first='Sahara' last='Stamps'] has already proven she belongs among the state's best. With her senior year of high school still ahead and top club experience under her belt, she's only getting started with tons of potential to excel at the next level.
