The 2026 Arkansas high school volleyball season is in the books, and it's time to recognize some of the young talent across the state. I'll be covering the freshmen and sophomores, while Hannah takes on the juniors and seniors.

I spent plenty of time in gyms and watching film this fall, and I can tell ya, Arkansas has some talented young players. Some helped lead championship teams, while others carried much of the load for their programs. I believe every player selected has the potential to play beyond high school, but let's remember, these are freshmen and sophomores. They have a lot of growing and developing ahead of them, and that's exciting. My selections are based on what I saw in person and on film, statistics, strength of schedule, and each player's role. Numbers matter, but they don't tell the whole story.

I'll break down the positions before revealing the All Prep Dig Underclassman First Team, Second Team, and All Freshman Team.

We start with the evaluating the back row.

This tends to be a spot where a younger player can step in and make a difference early on. Take sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='763687' first='Bristol' last='Bonanno'] from Shiloh Christian for example. Last season as a freshman she opened eyes with an incredible run as the starting libero. This season she was like a seasoned vet, Bonanno produced 497 digs in 105 sets, averaging 4.7 per set. Her 511 receptions with only 29 errors deserve attention. Against a difficult schedule, Bonanno demonstrated the passing consistency I look for when evaluating defensive players. Her ability to control first contact gives Shiloh Christian options offensively. Bristol keeps offense alive with her ability to read hitters and to run down even the most difficult balls. Shiloh needed that consistency as the Saints stepped up into the 6A Conference this past season. Let's look at some other impactful youngsters:

[player_tooltip player_id='773479' first='Kinleigh' last='Meeler'] of Morrilton finished with 471 digs in 101 sets, averaging 4.7 per set, while recording 504 receptions with just 27 errors. Those are impressive reception numbers, particularly for a player managing that much volume. [player_tooltip player_id='772199' first='Jordyn' last='Stanfield'], in her first season starting for the Bryant Hornets, recorded 379 digs in 87 sets and handled 485 receptions with only 20 errors. Her reception efficiency against a strong schedule was among the best in this group. [player_tooltip player_id='847830' first='Shayn' last='Wickersham'] of Mountain Home finished with 328 digs in 70 sets, averaging 4.7 per set. She also handled 457 receptions, she teams with another sophomore, [player_tooltip player_id='931278' first='Zoey' last='Throckmorton'] (285 digs and 3.9 D/S) to form a formidable team as this every young Mountain Home team grows up. [player_tooltip player_id='994942' first='Addison' last='Hadaway'] of Greenwood, finished with 578 digs in 105 sets, averaging 5.5 digs per set. She handled 645 serve receptions with 55 reception errors. That is a heavy workload for any libero, much less a sophomore. Hadaway was responsible for a sizable portion of Greenwood's first contact and gave the Bulldogs a dependable defensive presence. She was second in the state to senior [player_tooltip player_id='793405' first='Eden' last='Fields'] of Northside in digs. She and fellow sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1052080' first='Jordyn' last='Pippin'] (276 digs and 2.7 D/S) were on of the top back row duos in the state and faced some of the toughest hitters. They were especially solid the night Greenwood defeated Farmington. Their ability to keep the ball in play frustrated the Cardinal hitters all night.

[player_tooltip player_id='1044657' first='Kaylee' last='Deese'], [player_tooltip player_id='1040763' first='Marcy' last='Tolbert'], Raelyn Campbell, and [player_tooltip player_id='1008494' first='Aubrey' last='Gillett'] also deserve recognition. Among the freshmen, [player_tooltip player_id='1039523' first='Olivia' last='Bos'] of Rogers Heritage recorded 288 digs and 413 receptions, while Izzy Kate Branch of Crowley's Ridge finished with 270 digs and 291 receptions. Both gained valuable varsity experience and will be players I continue to follow.

Setters: Running an Offense Takes More Than Good Hands

Setters are difficult to evaluate through statistics alone. A setter's assist total is influenced by the hitters around her, the quality of the team's passing, and the offensive system. When I'm watching a setter, I pay attention to decision-making, location, tempo, movement off the net, and what happens when the pass isn't perfect. I want to see how she responds when the opponent takes away her first option. This is the toughest position for a young player to step into. Especially if they have an veteran team around them, it's tough to earn the respect at such a young stage of a career. Fortunately, Arkansas is blessed with some fantastic you facilitators.

[player_tooltip player_id='1020084' first='Violet' last='Watkins'] jumps off the page; in 112 sets she dished out 1089 assists to the tune of 9.7 assist per set for the Westside Warriors. That is a hefty pace for a sophomore. In fact, she led the state in that category. Her 9.7 assists per set were only second to [player_tooltip player_id='749906' first='Molly' last='Miller']'s 9.8 assists per set. One thing to look at is how that setter's offense performed, Westside ended up with a .254 hitting percentage. That is a key indicator to a solid setter. Watkins had 1089 of the Warriors 1150 assists. [player_tooltip player_id='889184' first='Harper' last='Davie'] of Shiloh Christian brings a college level combination of size and versatility. The 6'0” sophomore finished with 572 assists, 182 digs, 127 kills, and 47 blocks. Davie can contribute as both a setter and on the right side, giving her team some flexibility. Her offensive ability and blocking are valuable parts of her evaluation. Davie accounted for 62% of Shiloh's assist as the Saints hit just under .200 as they stepped up into the 6A West. [player_tooltip player_id='773932' first='Brynn' last='Bohannan'] of Bryant finished with 740 assists, averaging 7.3 per set, along with 263 digs and 57 aces. The 5-foot-7 sophomore handled a sizable portion of Bryant's offense and showed she can manage the demands of the position. Feeding fellow sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='768346' first='Brinkley' last='Gigerich'] is a tremendous help as those two have great chemistry dating back to club ball. Towards the end of the season, Bryant switched to a 5-1 and really seemed to catch fire. As the season progressed the numbers improved for the Hornets but look for them to really make a jump in hitting percentage over the next two seasons under first year coach Paige Ganter. Freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1038912' first='Colbie' last='Ricketts'] turned in a top performance for the Harrison Goblins this season. Ricketts split time with Senior Lily Burns distributing the ball for the Goblins, but she also picked up 293 kills, 520 assists, 230 digs, 75 aces, 63 blocks and hit .234! That is a lot of production. [player_tooltip player_id='997579' first='Elin' last='Neal'] of Bentonville West also jumps off the page when you see her in person. Splitting time at setter she dished out 422 assists and average 3.7 per set. At 5'9" she has great size and is agile around the court. I expect big production out of her. Like Ricketts (5'10") and Davie (6'0"), she has size to be a 5-1 setter at the next level. Arkansas High's Rylan Shurtleff (555 assists and 7.7 per set) and Brookland's [player_tooltip player_id='1049560' first='Kyleigh' last='Combs'] ( 642 assists and 5.4 per set) are ones to watch as well.

Pin Hitters: Production, Efficiency, and Strength of Schedule

I spent more time evaluating this group than any other. My initial benchmarks were kills per set and hitting percentage, with .200 as the efficiency target. I then compared strength of schedule, attacking volume, serve receive, and defensive responsibilities. There is a difference between an outside hitter who plays all six rotations and one who comes off the floor in the back row. Neither role is automatically better, but the responsibilities are different.

[player_tooltip player_id='771153' first='Beaux' last='Cameron'], Har-Ber, led this group with 400 kills in 90 sets, averaging 4.4 kills per set while hitting .250. Cameron also recorded 246 digs and 272 serve receptions with 19 errors. She produced those numbers against one of the more challenging schedules in Arkansas. Cameron has the offensive production and six-rotation experience that college coaches look for. Her continued development in serve receive, shot selection, and attacking against bigger blocks will be important as she progresses. [player_tooltip player_id='1008023' first='Tristyn' last='Moseley'], Greenbrier, finished with 395 kills in 104 sets, averaging 3.8 per set while hitting .235. She also recorded 356 digs and handled 440 receptions with 20 errors. Moseley was involved in nearly every phase of Greenbrier's game. Her defensive numbers and serve-receive workload deserve as much consideration as her kills. [player_tooltip player_id='768346' first='Brinkley' last='Gigerich'], Bryant, recorded 372 kills in 101 sets, averaging 3.7 per set while hitting .246. She added 255 digs and 346 receptions with 20 errors. Gigerich has the offensive tools to play at a higher level and has already shown she can produce against quality competition. [player_tooltip player_id='769040' first='Paisley' last='Hogan'], Northside, finished with 270 kills in 85 sets, averaging 3.2 per set with a .270 hitting percentage. She added 201 digs, 310 receptions, and 32 aces. Hogan's efficiency against a strong 6A schedule was a major consideration in my rankings. [player_tooltip player_id='775399' first='Riley' last='Kaminshine'], Greenwood, brings a different skill set to the group. She recorded 319 kills in 105 sets, averaging 3.0 per set while hitting .220. Kaminshine also contributed 73 assists, averaged 3.9 digs per set, recorded 18 aces, and handled 127 receptions. [player_tooltip player_id='1060443' first='Finley' last='Lawless'], Brookland, was one of the most efficient right-side attackers in the group. She finished with 197 kills while hitting .276. Her offensive efficiency and role in Brookland's system earned serious consideration. [player_tooltip player_id='759815' first='Kaitlyn' last='White'], Ivy Kirkconnell, [player_tooltip player_id='772494' first='Kassidy' last='Lucas'], [player_tooltip player_id='1017880' first='Bailey' last='Edwards'], [player_tooltip player_id='999622' first='Anna' last='Kate Davis'], and [player_tooltip player_id='775222' first='Baxley' last='Barbaree'] were also evaluated closely. [player_tooltip player_id='1020442' first='Claire' last='Hammond'], [player_tooltip player_id='759051' first='Heelyn' last='Hanks'], [player_tooltip player_id='1045216' first='Anna' last='Kate Lovett'], Macie Carlson, [player_tooltip player_id='781107' first='Abby' last='Cox'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1007465' first='Greer' last='Caldwell'], are among the additional players I will continue watching. They all have a ton of potential to play at the next level, the one part of their games that held them back was they were each under that .200 hitting percentage threshold. I have seen most of them extensively and I believe they will improve drastically in those numbers as their careers go on.

The freshmen include [player_tooltip player_id='1038913' first='Brianna' last='Bush'] of Lamar who the linchpin of their offense and contributed as a six-rotation outside, and Emmy Booy of Conway played both pins and looked like another young hitter with great potential.

Middle Hitters: Size, Timing, and Production

The middle hitter position requires more than height. Footwork, lateral movement, blocking reads, transition speed, and the ability to attack different tempos are all part of my evaluation.

[player_tooltip player_id='1046675' first='Lily' last='McNutt'], Cotter, put together an extraordinary freshman season. The 6'4" middle finished with 606 kills, 155 blocks, 160 digs, and 36 aces. She averaged 17.82 kills per match and recorded two triple-doubles. She recorded a season-high 37 kills against Mansfield and 14 blocks against Bergman. McNutt earned All-State, All-State Tournament, and All-Conference honors. I considered Cotter's strength of schedule when comparing McNutt to players from larger classifications. I also recognize that a freshman producing those numbers deserves serious consideration regardless of classification. [player_tooltip player_id='1017936' first='Lilly' last='Gilbow'], Brookland, had an efficient sophomore season. The 6-foot middle finished with 159 kills, a .303 hitting percentage, and 60 blocks. She was a productive part of Brookland's front row and has two more seasons to improve her offensive range and blocking. The 4A State champ will pair with fellow six-footer, freshman MacKenzie Sutton next season to give Brookland a huge front line.

[player_tooltip player_id='1018463' first='Lydia' last='Washington'] of Fayetteville, 5'11" (55 blocks, 101 kills), [player_tooltip player_id='1006134' first='Emma' last='Thompson'] of Bentonville West, 5'10" (81 blocks, 135 kills), Rosie Speigal of Jonesboro 6'1" ( 81 blocks, 78 kills) and [player_tooltip player_id='1018519' first='Tenley' last='Treece'] of Greenbrier, 6'0" (51 blocks, 139 kills, .368 h%) also earned recognition for their performances. Other middles I considered include Miracle Davis, [player_tooltip player_id='935574' first='Kenley' last='Harris'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1045221' first='Jocelyn' last='Green']. [player_tooltip player_id='758288' first='Hendrix' last='Yancey'] is another freshman I wanted to recognize. An injury affected her season, but she remains part of the group I plan to evaluate moving forward.

The physical development of these players will be particularly important. A middle who is effective today because of a height advantage will eventually face opponents who are just as tall and more athletic. Technique and movement will become increasingly important.

First Team Prep Dig Underclassman:

2026 Season: 572 Assists | 6.3 Assists/Set | 127 Kills | 182 Digs | 47 Blocks

Harper brings size and offensive versatility to the setter position. At 5'11", the Shiloh Christian sophomore can run the offense and move to the right side, where she provides another attacking option and a blocking presence. Her 572 assists show her importance in directing the Saints' offense, while 127 kills and 47 blocks demonstrate her ability to contribute at the net. Davie has the physical tools and positional flexibility that should attract college interest. With two high school seasons remaining, continued improvement in her setting consistency, decision-making, and offensive development will be important as she prepares for the next level. She is the current #1 player in the class of 2029 for a reason.

2026 Season: 740 Assists | 7.3 Assists/Set | 263 Digs | 57 Aces

Brynn is a contrast in style to Davie. She is a smaller, quicker setter. More suited to a 6-2 system at the next level. I have watcher her since she was nine, and she has always read the game well. Bohannan took on a significant role running Bryant's offense as a sophomore, finishing with 740 assists while averaging 7.3 per set. The 5'7" setter also contributed 263 digs and 57 aces, showing her ability to impact the match beyond distributing the ball. Playing against a demanding 6A schedule, Bohannan gained valuable experience directing an offense against some of the state's better competition. She has two high school seasons remaining to continue developing her decision-making, tempo, and consistency, particularly when working off imperfect passes. Her production and experience at this level make her a setter worth following as the Class of 2028 moves closer to recruiting.

2026 Season: 400 Kills | 4.4 Kills/Set | .250 Hitting | 246 Digs | 272 Receptions | 19 Reception Errors

All Prep Dig Sophomore of the Year

Cameron put together an outstanding sophomore season for Har-Ber, recording 400 kills while hitting .250 against one of the toughest schedules in Arkansas. Her speed, agility, and shot selection separate her from many of the hitters in her class. She moves well, adjusts to the ball, and has the ability to find openings in the defense rather than relying strictly on power. Cameron is a true six-rotation outside, contributing 246 digs and handling 272 receptions with only 19 errors. Her ability to produce offensively while maintaining her back-row responsibilities makes her a strong college prospect. With two seasons remaining, Cameron has the opportunity to continue developing her physical strength and consistency against bigger, more experienced blockers.

2026 Season: 376 Kills | 3.7 Kills/Set | .246 Hitting | 255 Digs | 346 Receptions | 34 Blocks

Brink brings size and a powerful arm to Bryant's offense. Her physical presence at the net is a major part of her game, but she also contributed 255 digs and handled 346 serve receptions. Gigerich has the size and offensive ability that college coaches look for in a pin hitter. Continued work on shot selection, ball control, and attacking against a well-formed block will help her become a more complete player. With two seasons remaining, she has considerable room to develop physically and technically. One quality I really like is her coachability. She's one of two players on this team I believe could eventually play Division I basketball. Watching her compete, it's hard not to wonder how good she could become if volleyball were her sole focus. She has the physical tools to dominate at the net, and her production her first two seasons came while splitting her athletic development between two sports. That kind of workload says a lot about the responsibility Greenwood placed on its sophomore libero. Hadaway showed the ability to cover a large portion of the court and keep rallies alive against quality competition. Those reception numbers are particularly impressive considering the competition Shiloh Christian faced. Bonanno's ability to handle a high volume of serves while limiting mistakes is a big part of her value. She provides the kind of first-contact consistency that allows a setter to keep multiple hitters involved in the offense. Her defensive production, 73 assists, and ability to contribute in several areas give Greenwood flexibility. She competes hard, handles the responsibilities of playing both front and back row, and has already established herself as an important part of the Bulldogs' lineup. Hackett was your back to back to back 2A champs this season. Her ability to contribute offensively and handle back-row responsibilities makes her more than a situational server.

Take sophomore Bristol Bonanno Bristol Bonanno Bristol Bonanno 5'3" | DS/L Shiloh Christian | 2029 State AR from Shiloh Christian for example.

Kinleigh Meeler Kinleigh Meeler Kinleigh Meeler 5'7" | DS/L Morrilton | 2029 AR of Morrilton finished with 471 digs in 101 sets, averaging 4.7 per set, while recording 504 receptions with just 27 errors. Those are impressive reception numbers, particularly for a player managing that much volume. Jordyn Stanfield Jordyn Stanfield Jordyn Stanfield 5'5" | DS/L Bryant | 2029 State AR , in her first season starting for the Bryant Hornets, recorded 379 digs in 87 sets and handled 485 receptions with only 20 errors. Her reception efficiency against a strong schedule was among the best in this group. Shayn Wickersham Shayn Wickersham Shayn Wickersham 5'3" | DS/L Mountain Home | 2029 State AR of Mountain Home finished with 328 digs in 70 sets, averaging 4.7 per set. She also handled 457 receptions, she teams with another sophomore, Zoey Throckmorton Zoey Throckmorton Zoey Throckmorton 5'4" | DS/L Mountain Home | 2029 State AR (285 digs and 3.9 D/S) to form a formidable team as this every young Mountain Home team grows up. Addison Hadaway Addison Hadaway Addison Hadaway 5'3" | DS/L Greenwood | 2029 State AR of Greenwood, finished with 578 digs in 105 sets, averaging 5.5 digs per set. She handled 645 serve receptions with 55 reception errors. That is a heavy workload for any libero, much less a sophomore. Hadaway was responsible for a sizable portion of Greenwood's first contact and gave the Bulldogs a dependable defensive presence. She was second in the state to senior Eden Fields Eden Fields Eden Fields 5'2" | DS/L Northside | 2027 State AR of Northside in digs. She and fellow sophomore Jordyn Pippin Jordyn Pippin Jordyn Pippin 5'5" | DS/L/OH Greenwood | 2029 AR (276 digs and 2.7 D/S) were on of the top back row duos in the state and faced some of the toughest hitters. They were especially solid the night Greenwood defeated Farmington. Their ability to keep the ball in play frustrated the Cardinal hitters all night.

Kaylee Deese Kaylee Deese Kaylee Deese DS/L Walnut Ridge | 2029 State AR , Marcy Tolbert Marcy Tolbert Marcy Tolbert 5'6" | DS/L/OH Westside-Jonesboro | 2029 State AR , Raelyn Campbell, and Aubrey Gillett Aubrey Gillett Aubrey Gillett 5'4" | DS/L/OH Hackett | 2029 State AR also deserve recognition. Among the freshmen, Olivia Bos Olivia Bos 5'4" | DS/L Rogers Heritage | 2030 State AR of Rogers Heritage recorded 288 digs and 413 receptions, while Izzy Kate Branch of Crowley's Ridge finished with 270 digs and 291 receptions.

Violet Watkins Violet Watkins Violet Watkins 5'4" | S Westside-Jonesboro | 2029 State AR jumps off the page; in 112 sets she dished out 1089 assists to the tune of 9.7 assist per set for the Westside Warriors. That is a hefty pace for a sophomore. In fact, she led the state in that category. Her 9.7 assists per set were only second to Molly Miller Molly Miller Molly Miller 5'11" | S/RS Fayetteville | 2028 State #94 Nation AR 's 9.8 assists per set. One thing to look at is how that setter's offense performed, Westside ended up with a .254 hitting percentage. That is a key indicator to a solid setter. Watkins had 1089 of the Warriors 1150 assists. Harper Davie Harper Davie Harper Davie 6'0" | S/RS Shiloh Christian | 2029 State AR of Shiloh Christian brings a college level combination of size and versatility. Brynn Bohannan Brynn Bohannan Brynn Bohannan 5'7" | S/DS/L Bryant | 2029 State AR of Bryant finished with 740 assists, averaging 7.3 per set, along with 263 digs and 57 aces. The 5-foot-7 sophomore handled a sizable portion of Bryant's offense and showed she can manage the demands of the position. Feeding fellow sophomore Brinkley Gigerich Brinkley Gigerich Brinkley Gigerich 6'0" | OH/DS/L Bryant | 2029 State AR is a tremendous help as those two have great chemistry dating back to club ball. Towards the end of the season, Bryant switched to a 5-1 and really seemed to catch fire. As the season progressed the numbers improved for the Hornets but look for them to really make a jump in hitting percentage over the next two seasons under first year coach Paige Ganter. Freshman Colbie Ricketts Colbie Ricketts Colbie Ricketts S Harrison | 2030 State AR turned in a top performance for the Harrison Goblins this season. Ricketts split time with Senior Lily Burns distributing the ball for the Goblins, but she also picked up 293 kills, 520 assists, 230 digs, 75 aces, 63 blocks and hit .234! That is a lot of production. Elin Neal Elin Neal Elin Neal 5'9" | S/RS Bentonville West | 2029 State AR of Bentonville West also jumps off the page when you see her in person. Splitting time at setter she dished out 422 assists and average 3.7 per set. At 5'9" she has great size and is agile around the court. I expect big production out of her. Like Ricketts (5'10") and Davie (6'0"), she has size to be a 5-1 setter at the next level. Arkansas High's Rylan Shurtleff (555 assists and 7.7 per set) and Brookland's Kyleigh Combs Kyleigh Combs Kyleigh Combs 5'6" | S/RS Brookland | 2029 AR ( 642 assists and 5.4 per set) are ones to watch as well.

Beaux Cameron Beaux Cameron Beaux Cameron 5'11" | OH/DS/L Har-Ber | 2029 State AR , Har-Ber, led this group with 400 kills in 90 sets, averaging 4.4 kills per set while hitting .250. Tristyn Moseley Tristyn Moseley Tristyn Moseley 5'6" | OH Greenbrier | 2029 State AR , Greenbrier, finished with 395 kills in 104 sets, averaging 3.8 per set while hitting .235. She also recorded 356 digs and handled 440 receptions with 20 errors. Moseley was involved in nearly every phase of Greenbrier's game. Her defensive numbers and serve-receive workload deserve as much consideration as her kills. Brinkley Gigerich Brinkley Gigerich Brinkley Gigerich 6'0" | OH/DS/L Bryant | 2029 State AR , Bryant, recorded 372 kills in 101 sets, averaging 3.7 per set while hitting .246. Paisley Hogan Paisley Hogan Paisley Hogan 6'2" | OH/MB Northside | 2029 State AR , Northside, finished with 270 kills in 85 sets, averaging 3.2 per set with a .270 hitting percentage. Riley Kaminshine Riley Kaminshine Riley Kaminshine 5'9" | S/RS Greenwood | 2029 State AR , Greenwood, brings a different skill set to the group. She recorded 319 kills in 105 sets, averaging 3.0 per set while hitting .220. Kaminshine also contributed 73 assists, averaged 3.9 digs per set, recorded 18 aces, and handled 127 receptions. Finley Lawless Finley Lawless 5'8" | RS/OH Brookland | 2029 AR , Brookland, was one of the most efficient right-side attackers in the group. She finished with 197 kills while hitting .276. They all have a ton of potential to play at the next level, the one part of their games that held them back was they were each under that .200 hitting percentage threshold. I have seen most of them extensively and I believe they will improve drastically in those numbers as their careers go on. The freshmen include Brianna Bush Brianna Bush Brianna Bush 5'9" | OH/DS/L Lamar | 2030 State AR of Lamar who the linchpin of their offense and contributed as a six-rotation outside, and Emmy Booy of Conway played both pins and looked like another young hitter with great potential.

Middle Hitters: Size, Timing, and Production

The middle hitter position requires more than height. Footwork, lateral movement, blocking reads, transition speed, and the ability to attack different tempos are all part of my evaluation.

Lily McNutt Lily McNutt Lily McNutt 6'4" | MB Cotter | 2030 State AR , Cotter, put together an extraordinary freshman season. Lilly Gilbow Lilly Gilbow Lilly Gilbow 6'0" | MB/RS Brookland | 2029 State AR , Brookland, had an efficient sophomore season.

Lydia Washington Lydia Washington Lydia Washington 6'1" | MB/RS Fayetteville | 2029 State AR of Fayetteville, 5'11" (55 blocks, 101 kills), Emma Thompson Emma Thompson Emma Thompson 5'10" | MB/RS Bentonville West | 2029 State AR of Bentonville West, 5'10" (81 blocks, 135 kills), Rosie Speigal of Jonesboro 6'1" ( 81 blocks, 78 kills) and Tenley Treece Tenley Treece Tenley Treece 6'0" | MB/RS Greenbrier | 2029 State AR of Greenbrier, 6'0" (51 blocks, 139 kills, .368 h%) also earned recognition for their performances. Other middles I considered include Miracle Davis, Kenley Harris Kenley Harris Kenley Harris 5'9" | MB/OH Bryant | 2029 State AR , and Jocelyn Green Jocelyn Green Jocelyn Green 5'10" | MB/RS Mountain Home | 2029 AR . Hendrix Yancey Hendrix Yancey Hendrix Yancey 5'11" | MB/RS Lakeside-Hot Springs | 2030 State AR is another freshman I wanted to recognize. An injury affected her season, but she remains part of the group I plan to evaluate moving forward.

The physical development of these players will be particularly important. A middle who is effective today because of a height advantage will eventually face opponents who are just as tall and more athletic. Technique and movement will become increasingly important.

2026 Season: 376 Kills | 3.7 Kills/Set | .246 Hitting | 255 Digs | 346 Receptions | 34 Blocks

Brink brings size and a powerful arm to Bryant's offense. At 6'0", the sophomore has the ability to attack with pace and put pressure on opposing defenses. She finished with 376 kills while hitting .246 against a competitive 6A schedule. Brinkley is always looking to get better.

2026 Season: 578 Digs | 5.5 Digs/Set | 645 Serve Receptions | 55 Reception Errors

Hadaway was one of the most productive defensive players in the 2028 class, anchoring Greenwood's back row throughout the season. She finished with 578 digs in 105 sets, averaging an impressive 5.5 per set, while handling 645 serve receptions. That kind of workload says a lot about the responsibility Greenwood placed on its sophomore libero. Hadaway showed the ability to cover a large portion of the court and keep rallies alive against quality competition. Her defensive production is impressive, but continued improvement in serve-receive consistency will be important as she develops. With two high school seasons remaining, Hadaway has established herself as one of the top young liberos in Arkansas and a player college coaches should be following.

Bonanno was a steady presence in Shiloh Christian's back row throughout the 2026 season. The sophomore recorded 497 digs in 105 sets while handling 511 serve receptions with just 29 errors. Her defensive production is strong, but her serve-receive numbers deserve just as much attention. With two high school seasons remaining, Bonanno has an excellent foundation to build on as she continues developing her defensive range, passing precision, and court leadership.

026 Season: 319 Kills | 3.0 Kills/Set | .220 Hitting | 73 Assists | 3.9 Digs/Set | 18 Aces | 127 Serve Receptions

Kaminshine earns the utility spot on my All Prep Dig Underclassman First Team, but make no mistake, she's a tough outside hitter for Greenwood. The sophomore finished with 319 kills while hitting .220 and contributing nearly four digs per set. She's a competitive, physical player who isn't afraid to take a big swing when her team needs a point. What I appreciate about Kaminshine is that she brings more to the court than just offense. Her defensive production, 73 assists, and ability to contribute in several areas give Greenwood flexibility. She competes hard, handles the responsibilities of playing both front and back row, and has already established herself as an important part of the Bulldogs' lineup. As she continues developing her offensive consistency, shot selection, and overall ball control, Kaminshine has the opportunity to become an even more complete six-rotation player over her final two high school seasons.

2026 Season: 88 Aces | 156 Kills | 301 Digs | 404 Serve Receptions

Gillett earns the serving specialist spot on my All Prep Dig Underclassman First Team after recording an impressive 88 aces during her sophomore season at Hackett. Serving is an offensive weapon, and Gillett demonstrated just how much pressure a player can put on an opponent from behind the service line. But don't mistake her for a player who only contributes in one area. She also finished with 156 kills, 301 digs, and 404 serve receptions, showing her value throughout the rotation. Hackett was your back to back to back 2A champs this season. Her ability to contribute offensively and handle back-row responsibilities makes her more than a situational server. As she continues developing her attacking consistency and ball control, Gillett has an opportunity to expand her role even further over her final two high school seasons.
