About Macy

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I love a fast paced game. I play with a lot of energy and enthusiasm. I’m talkative on the court.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a hard worker and always working to better myself. I’m an energetic player and love competition. I have a positive attitude and consider myself a leader.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Club volleyball - Presidents Day All Tournament Team (St Louis, Feb 2025), 2025 JVA watchlist HS varsity volleyball (All Conference, Team Captain, Team Offensive POY) HS varsity basketball (All Conference, Team Offensive POY) HS varsity softball SALT (Student Athlete Leadership Team) Band

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I was volleyball team captain as a freshman because I work well with others, look to always inspire my teammates, and look to lead my example. I’ve grown as a leader and teammate by having a varsity position in 3 sports as a freshman. Having to play with a variety of personalities, expectations, and skill levels has helped develop my communication skills and taught me how to be a better teammate.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Learning how to establish and grow in my role as a freshman on 3 varsity teams was a challenge. I learned to communicate better, reflect on myself, different ways to motivate and inspire my teammates, ask questions when needed, and form a better relationship with my coaches and teammates.

What type of college are you looking for?

My ultimate goal is to play Division 1 volleyball. I want to find a college that I am comfortable at, have a good relationship with my coaches and teammates, has good academics, and where I can make a positive impact.

Macy Hinz Macy Hinz OH WI is right along the Wisconsin/Illinois border who preps at Clinton High School in Wisconsin and plays for VC United out of Rockford, Illinois.  I was able to see her live at the Windy City Qualifier and her strength and physicality really showed while also being able to handle her own in serve receive.  She was new on my radar this year, but I’ll be excited to see her recruiting journey toward the next leve.

Macy Macy Knapp | 2026 IA ‘ last=’Hinz’] is going to pack a punch for VC United 161 Elite where she can score in bunches on the outside.  She can also provide a big block, shutting down an opposing right side or coming in to help the middle.  I liked the pace that she could swing with, there is a lot of top spin and pop where even if the defense is able to get a touch on her ball, its going to be tough to keep in system.  She preps at Clinton High School on the Wisconsin/Illinois border and will be one to watch as recruiting heats up this summer.
