10 Ranking Risers In Wisconsin's 2028 Update

The Class of 2028 rankings are updated for Wisconsin!  These athletes have had plenty of “life” going on this summer as their recruiting process officially kicked off.  Some of these athletes have already given their verbal, some are deep into the process, and others are starting to ramp up.  Here are the athletes who are rising in the Class of 2028 rankings.     The Georgetown commit has most likely been featured in an article like this multiple times. She keeps improving, rising and is now the second ranked player in the Wisconsin Class of 2028. She was a key piece to the success of the [program_tooltip program_id='428672' first='Milwaukee' last='Sting'] 16 Gold team that finished top ten in the country. She has length, power, and finesse where she can serve receive to attack with ease with a mix of shots. She will be a junior for Wauwatosa East who will definitely turn heads this high school season.     I have been doing this long enough where I know when players have statement type of moments. I remember watching the [program_tooltip program_id='428672' first='Milwaukee' last='Sting'] 16 Gold team at nationals play against Team Pineapple where if they won, they advanced. [player_tooltip player_id='587083' first='Ruby' last='Clooten'] came in and was such a force at the net out of the middle. She is the fast twitch, dynamic, speedy type of middle who knows how to close the block, get to her setter, and terminate. She is one of the top uncommitted players in this class and will be a key catch for the next level. She will be a junior at Middleton where it will be fun to track her progress at the high school leve..     This is dating myself, but when I see Bri Hagglund attack I can't help but think of the cartoon “Mighty Mouse” (that's a compliment). Hagglund isn't going to line up at the net and be the tallest kid in the front line, but she flat out flies and packs a huge punch. She touches high which allows her to hit a variety of angles. She can score points at a high volume. This past summer she was named MVP of the 16 American Division which her [program_tooltip program_id='428591' first='FC' last='Elite'] 16 Elite team took home the title. This fall she will look to lead Kimberly back to the state tournament.     [player_tooltip player_id='545532' first='Rose' last='Kendall'] played on a regional club team her 15s year at [program_tooltip program_id='428591' first='FC' last='Elite'] and bumped up to the [program_tooltip program_id='428591' first='FC' last='Elite'] 16 Elite team this past club season where she won an American Division national championship. The right side has a lethal left handed swing, its a heavy ball with plenty of pace which is tough for the other side of the net to receive. Aside from all of her physical volleyball attributes, Kendall brings such a presence to a team. She is always talking on the court and the sideline (probably off the court too) and seems to connect and engage with everyone on her team.     When watching [player_tooltip player_id='587074' first='Megan' last='Olsen'] jump, it doesn't take long to just say “Yep”. [player_tooltip player_id='587074' first='Megan' last='Olsen'] has soared up the radar and college coaches noticed as well. She recently committed to Loyola Chicago where she brings a huge upside. She preps at Muskego and plays her club ball for 414 Elite out of Milwaukee who had a huge season. With her length and athleticism, it will be fun to see her game develop where she could score in multiple spots on the front line and provides a block that will cause defenders to think twice.     [player_tooltip player_id='719623' first='Kendall' last='Frei'] had a huge club season for 414 Elite where she just took command of the court. This group at 414 has taken their club to the next level. Frei has length as a setter where she can receive the ball high and use multiple tempos to feed her attackers. She will look to lead Oak Creek deep into the postseason, they did lose some key seniors, but with Frei providing a second touch there is plenty of promise. She will also be a 2028 setter who will have plenty of options at the next level.     [player_tooltip player_id='522092' first='Hallah' last='Josephson'] was another athlete who played at the regional club her 15s year and made the jump to [program_tooltip program_id='428591' first='FC' last='Elite'] 16 Elite, playing on the open courts and winning a national title at the 16 American Division. She is very steady in serve receive and understands her positioning as a libero to keep the ball in system on her side. She has attended some Midwest D1 camps, generating college interest. This fall she will be a key piece for Winneconne who will look to make a deep run in D2.     Sometimes we miss kids the first time around, or even the second. [player_tooltip player_id='581595' first='Chloe' last='Adams'] is one who needs to be on the radar, the setter out of Janesville Craig and VC United. She is well trained started with her footwork and hands. She is able to get to the ball and remain neutral where its tough to read as a blocker where she's going with the ball. She had a big sophomore year at Craig and will look to continue generating momentum.     We had [player_tooltip player_id='835238' first='Macy' last='Hinz'] in the Illinois rankings, but have moved her to Wisconsin since she preps for Clinton High School in Wisconsin. Hinz is a physical attacker who plays for VC United out of Rockford, Illinois. She is a four spot athlete and it shows in how she moves on the volleyball court because she is smooth and natural. She can transition off the net to attack, from passing or serve receive to attacking, and has expanded her all around game.     This [program_tooltip program_id='428672' first='Milwaukee' last='Sting'] 16 Black squad from this past season was exciting with a crew of real dynamic athletes. [player_tooltip player_id='545524' first='Brooke' last='Umbarger'] brings length and physicality to the net where she can score on either pin as well as provide a a solid block. She was able to get to some college camps before making her verbal to play at Bowling Green. She won't be the only Sting alum at Bowling Green as Karli Molnau is currently on the squad having 12 kills in a huge win against Ohio State.
