6 Monster Middles at the StockUp Showcase

Our scouts got to see some of our top prospects here in OKC all in one location battling it out. We are also glad to see how many college programs got to see for themselves the talent we have here. Let's take a look at 6 of the Middles who stood out that weekend.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='737518' first='Brianni' last='Kimbro']- 6'1 Middle Blocker for Lawton Mac. Brianni was the tallest player at the showcase. Her size and frame is that of a high level college player. She is more than just a tall player, she works hard in transition and to close blocks. She is a solid force as a blocker. She has good timing and extends well over the net. I got to see her have several powerful blocks that got her teammates juiced.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='740637' first='Lauren' last='Pero']- 5'11 Middle Blocker for Booker T. Washington. Lauren is an extremely versatile middle. She can run multiple sets and tempos in front of and also behind her setter. Her best attack was running a 1 and swinging left at setters. She would mix in an off speed to throw off the defense too. She will be another reason BTW has one of the best offenses in class 5A.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='740379' first='Paisley' last='Potwora']- 5'10 Middle Blocker for Bixby. Paisley may have made some ripples last year but she's about to make some serious waves this season. She is getting exponentially better with each season. She is going to be a big time pick up from Oklahoma. Her speed, quickness and reach are all next level. Bixby has possibly the best group of middles in the state.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='284932' first='Tyra' last='McKinnie']- 6'0 Middle Blocker for Glenpool. Tyra is clearly going to have opportunities to play at the next level, the only question is where. She has a few offers on the table already and will likely pick up more in the coming school season. She has expanded her game over the past 365. Her serve is light years better and when it's on, it is a real problem for any passer. Her back row play both as a passer and a hitter have taken huge steps. This club season was a thing of beauty to see, she was thriving on her high level Peak team.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='752599' first='Caryl' last='Womack']- 5'10 Middle Blocker for Edmond Santa Fe. Caryl has a phenomenal touch point like Tyra. It would be fun to watch them play across the net from each other. Caryl will be getting some love from colleges soon enough, if she hasn't already. She has some awesome intangibles such as, doesn't seem to get rattled in big moments, is a great cheerleader for her teammates and invites coaches to tell her how she can improve. A big part of why she is ranked as the #2 MB in her class isn't just her current abilities but also the room she has to grow.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='757039' first='Kyanah' last='Taylor']- 5'8 Middle Blocker for Lawton Mac. Kyanah was very nice to talk with. Very polite and caring individual. She is definitely someone you want in your locker room. Her athleticism and powerful swing will be something that class 5A opponents better account for.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
