Tatyana Jade Borovick Tatyana Jade Borovick 6'0" | OH/MB Valley Christian | 2029 State CA is staying at Vision Volleyball Club on 16 Gold because she likes the team her coach has built and is ready to compete against high-level players. She also plays varsity at Valley Christian High School in San Jose, and her role keeps growing. She has 173 kills in 67 sets this season, 2.6 per set, hitting .259 on 378 swings.

She points to one tournament as the turning point.

“Ever since playing in the Arizona Nike tournament my game has changed. I feel I have more of a drive to win and I learned how much I really want this.”

That kind of honesty matters. A high-level event showed her how much she wants it.

“My goal was to play 6 rotations and I now get the opportunity this year to play all the way around some games.”

Playing six rotations is a real goal for a pin hitter. It means serve receive, defense and attacking, and she is earning the chance to do all three.

“I want college coaches to know I am very coachable and I put my whole heart out on the court.”

Coachable and driven is where a coach wants to start.

She said she is excited for the year because her coach has built a strong team, and she is ready to compete against high level competition. She also shared a quote she thinks about often:

She heard it while at Pepperdine learning about the mental side of volleyball, and said she has grown to love it because it captures how natural it is to default to negative thoughts, and how it becomes a player’s job to turn those thoughts positive.
