Four 2026 First Region Middle Blockers to know

Wright played on the same team as setter [player_tooltip player_id='484268' first='Neely' last='Flowers'] allowing her to develop even better connections for this season at Mayfield. Wright takes sound swings and makes good first contacts. She pounds balls hard from the middle and pins to all six zones on the court. Morton is also sound with blocking. Morton excels when the team is in system. Hill takes solid swings on short and long sets from both the middle and the pins. Hill runs good fakes to take blockers away from other hitters, potentially putting them in one-on-one situations. Hill sends sound balls to the corners from the middle. She shoves balls to the shallow lines when teams throw double teams at her. Hill can hit balls off opponents when needed. Patrick mainly hits from the outside and plays some defensive specialist, but can take swings from the middle when needed. The lefty gives opponents unique angles to defend. Patrick puts up a tough jump serve. Patrick can send balls to far corners and surprises defenders with smacks on second hits. Patrick quickly bounces back from mistakes. Patrick is also a sound passer.
