But for me, this is one of the most exciting times of the year. There's nothing better than watching athletes take their first steps onto a high school court, knowing the next four years will be filled with growth, grit, and big-time moments.   This 2029 class? They've already made an impression. From early-season showcases to The Gauntlet, AAU Nationals, USAV Championships, and some of the top qualifiers in the country, this group has proven they belong. They're not here to blend in—they're here to make noise. I've watched, taken notes, circled names, and now it's time to share some of the top freshmen who need to be on your radar this fall.   No matter where they land, these athletes are bringing high-level impact from day one. So who are some 2029s catching early attention and deserving a spot on your watchlist?   Let's dive in.    Standing at 6'1", [player_tooltip player_id='545529' first='Pacyn' last='Stoffel'] enters her freshman year at Hamilton with next-level potential. As an outside hitter, she already displays advanced court awareness—able to adjust to sets off the net and attack with control. Whether she's swinging deep corner or tooling the block, her ability to find open space shows maturity beyond her age. What stands out most is her work ethic—it's evident in every play. She competes with intensity, stays engaged on both sides of the ball, and brings a steady presence in serve receive. Whether she's tracking down tips, reading hitters, or leading serve receive, Kenna competes with a level of urgency that's contagious. Evelyn is active in transition, always ready to close blocks and be an offensive option. Her timing and anticipation allow her to disrupt opponents' rhythm and put pressure on the other side of the net. Cadence has the vision, hands, and court feel to distribute at a high level, and her height gives her an added edge at the net.
