About Neelie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Quiet but powerful. I am like a silent predator. I have been told I am not flashy but extremely consistent.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am quiet and a little shy at first but then come out of my shell and am really witty. I like to have fun but when it's time to be serious, then let's go.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have played on the SURVA region All-Star team where we won 1st in 2024 and 2nd in 2025. I am a part of the ASL Honor Society.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am very encouraging to my teammates and learned that you must have fun and surround yourself with teammates and coaches who are going to build you up mentally. I have helped with Snack Packs for kids which helps distribute food to families in need.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I am dyslexic but I have acquired tools to help me be in the top 18% of my class. In volleyball, I went between jv and varsity my freshman year. We had talented upper classmen, so I played minimal varsity games. I have never sat, so mentally it played a toll on me and lost some confidence in myself. I had to overcome the emotional side of not being on top but have come back even stronger.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college where it feels like family. I want a coach who is going to help me to continue to develop my game and to build each of their players up. I want a coach that is fun but has positive corrective criticism.
