Logan has been running an offense since she was a freshman and it shows in every decision she makes. The Canyon senior leads all Texas setters with 1,250 assists through 125 sets. That follows a junior season of 1,405 assists that earned her a spot on the Texas Sports Writers Association 6A All-State team. At 5’6″ she wins with footwork rather than size. She gets to her target early and squares up, which keeps her hands quiet and her location consistent from pin to pin. She plays defense like a libero and it shows up on the other side of the ball. She dug 351 balls last season and is just as comfortable chasing down a shanked pass as she is running a quick to the middle. She is also a weapon from the end line and served 68 aces as a junior. Rutgers knows exactly who they have in her when she arrives on campus next year. Please help us congratulate her on earning this well deserved recognition.

Sanders will be with Canyon when they play Cy Ridge, Oak Ridge and Mayde Creek on Thursday. She had an excellent junior year with them and will want to do even more as her high school career winds down. Sanders is an elite playmaker, combining creativity and improvisation to create favorable situations for her hitters, but who can also be pragmatic and efficient when the situation calls for it. The senior is also an elite defender who’s always alert to make an impact on the back row and is very difficult to score on at the right back position.

Logan Sanders controls matches with poise and command. Watching her, what stands out most is her tempo management — clean hands, consistent release, and the ability to distribute effectively across all zones. Sanders does an excellent job creating one-on-one matchups and keeping hitters in rhythm.

The junior setter is on fire this year as she currently leads all setters with 607 assists on the year.  That list includes all grad classes which is even more impressive.  In her third season at the varsity level, she is leading her squad to an impressive 14-7 overall record.  They will definitely be a team to beat in their district this year with her at the helm of the offense.  She is powerful with the ball in her hands as she guides is to the pins with ease from every location.  Currently she is on pace to shatter her assist total from last year as she has raised her stats to 10.8 assists per set.  We are very proud of her accomplishments and know that she has only begun to prove her worth.  Stay tuned for more as we cover the rest of the season.

Sanders appeared for the AP 16 Adidas team that finished in third place with three wins and two losses. Her setting duo with Lauren Garcia Lauren Garcia 5'10" | S Reagan | 2027 State #97 Nation TX was potentially the best in the division as the two did a great job of running the team’s offense. Sanders was very creative when in system, consistently moving players around, but never lost accuracy, especially when setting to the pins. The setter was also a huge asset on the backcourt, serving efficiently and coming up with big digs at the right back position.
