We are just a month out from the start of the 2025 prep season.

In Division 1, there's plenty of great talent to keep an eye on. However, there's a handful that will have to step up in a big way for their team due to graduation losses.

Here's the first part of our two-part look at which D1 players that will be shouldering a bigger workload in 2025 as their team works in new starters.

[player_tooltip player_id='569764' first='Amani' last='Agoot'], Sr. MB West Bloomfield

The 6-foot Agoot can play above the net as well as anyone. She's got great length and a lot of hang time to be very disruptive on offense and defense. The Lakers took their lumps in the OAA Red last year, but can still threaten anyone in the OAA with Agoot's ability to take over a match. If the ball comes her way, she's likely putting it away.

[player_tooltip player_id='839913' first='Morgan' last='Borodychuk'], So. OH Mt. Pleasant

As a freshman, Borodychuk caught a lot of eyes for her performance. She finished as one of the top kill leaders for the Class of 2028, which bodes well for her sophomore season. The Oilers will need her continued growth in the game, as they graduated three of their top five kill leaders from a year ago. The sophomore shouldn't be lacking in confidence, as she proved she can play at a high level already.

[player_tooltip player_id='490373' first='Kate' last='Colosky'], Jr. MB Portage Central

Portage Central lost its top outsides, defenders and setter to graduation. That's a lot for any team to deal with. However, the Mustangs might be able to navigate through the murky waters with their 6-foot junior middle. Colosky was not only a dominant force on offense when the ball came her way, but her blocking could turn the tide in a match. With her on the floor, Portage Central will be competitive with anyone.

[player_tooltip player_id='226886' first='Gabby' last='DiVita'], Sr. Grosse Pointe South

GP South didn't have the same graduation losses as other teams on this list, but DiVita has been the workhorse for the squad since she stepped on the floor as a freshman. Entering her senior year, nothing should change for the Nebraska commit. She was responsible for over 50% of the team's kills in 2024 and was also the team's dig and ace leader. DiVita can do it all and will do everything she can to lead her team to a win.

[player_tooltip player_id='834053' first='Kendall' last='Fisk'], Sr. OH Cedar Springs

Cedar Springs is a team that saw most of its offense graduate, but Fisk will be a returning senior that was part of the rotation. This fall, the Red Hawks will be relying on her to raise her game to be the outside to lead the squad. She will consistently be up against other top hitters on the West side of the state, but Fisk shows the determination to push her team to success.

[player_tooltip player_id='828365' first='Taliyah' last='Hanks'], Sr. MB/OH Norrix

Hanks is a USC commit that has as much explosiveness at the net as anyone in the state. She's going to be a focal point for Norrix this fall and every opponent will be keying on her. But, the USC commit has proven she has the skills and athleticism to play through the challenge and still succeed. Hanks should be in line for a very productive fall.
