The Class of 2028 showed up for the Michigan Stock Up Showcase this past weekend.

The incoming sophomores were the most represented of any class, and it featured a lot of impressive talent.

Here's the third part of player evaluations from this class.

[player_tooltip player_id='584595' first='Jamie' last='Smith'], MB Cass Tech/Legacy

Smith has gotten an opportunity to compete against many of the best in her Class, and she brings a lot of athleticism to the court. She can play on the pins or the middle, as she has big hang time and generates a lot of momentum in her swing. Smith is a player that takes ownership of her mistakes and learns from them, and also wants reps to keep getting better.

[player_tooltip player_id='587018' first='Sasha' last='Jackson'], DS/L West Bloomfield/Legacy

Jackson was definitely a hustle player, and she was navigating sideline to sideline in order to make plays. She was doing a good job of backing up her hitters and still being able to retreat to make a dig deep in the back court. Jackson also had a solid serve that gave defenders a lot of trouble.

[player_tooltip player_id='847397' first='Bridget' last='Wiggins'], DS/L Sacred Heart/Mid-Michigan Aces

Wiggins brought a lot of positive intangibles to the court. She was one of the best communicators of the entire showcase and also was great at building up her teammates. One coach stopped drills to recognize her leadership and communication. However, Wiggins also had the on-court skills to go with the leadership qualities. She was very consistent in her passing.

[player_tooltip player_id='700571' first='Alaina' last='Parr'], OH Colonel Crawford/MOVA

This Ohio product was very gritty and played like she had a chip on her shoulder. Perhaps competing against a lot of opponents from another state brought the best out of her. Her intensity showed up in her swings, as she delivered with a lot of velocity and accuracy around the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='766487' first='Brynlee' last='Mussell'], DS/L Clyde/Black Swamp

Another Ohio prospect, Mussell held her own in a talented defensive group of 2028 prospects. She displayed a lot of awareness, recognizing where the ball was going ahead of time to make sure she was in good position to make a play. She also had good intuition when it came to sprawling for the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='569772' first='Lauren' last='Sheldon'], MB Stoney Creek/Legacy

Sheldon has quickly built up a reputation as one of the best hitters in the class, not just for the state, but for the country. The 6-footer looks very natural in her swing mechanics, but generates tremendous power and can bring the ball down at sharp angles. Her blocking instincts are also at a high level, making her a big-time prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='848276' first='Christina' last='Rustoni'], DS/L Oxford/High Performance

Rustoni was another vocal defender, who was very supportive of her fellow liberos. She provided a lot of positive energy that others fed off. When it came to her play, you couldn't question her effort. She took a lot of bumps trying to get to every ball she could. That drive and work ethic will take her far as she continues to sharpen her technique.

[player_tooltip player_id='579164' first='Ava' last='Rewalt'], DS/L Richmond/Michigan Elite

Rewalt had a good feel for her timing and when she needed to sprawl or lunge for a ball and still make a good feed to the setter. She adapted well throughout the day to the increased speed of play and never looked overwhelmed by the constant pressure being thrown at her.

[player_tooltip player_id='526553' first='Liv' last='Wender'], S Lowell/Legacy

Wender has already been able to establish herself as one of the stronger setters in this class and I like what I saw out of her during the showcase. Her sets are very clean and consistently put in a position for her hitters to succeed. When she had a set that wasn't quite as accurate, she was the first to acknowledge it and take ownership. She presses herself to be the best, and that's what you want out of an on-court leader.

The Class of 2028 showed up for the Michigan Stock Up Showcase this past weekend.
