–

The fall season is right upon us and what better way to kick it all off than with the Prep Dig Stock Up!

For the third year in a row, Prep Dig has offered one of the top prospective showcases in the country for athletes entering their sophomore year and older. For the Michigan crew, this has been a baseboard for many of the state's top talent to display their growth. Like the saying goes, things get better with time. That is exactly the way to sum up these athletes and this year's edition of the Stock Up.

From the setters and the 'bros, let's take a look at some of the best blocking prospects at the Michigan Stock Up Showcase.

[player_tooltip player_id='586777' first='Nemiah' last='Carper'] - Roscommon

Maybe one of the top middles in this group of athletes, [player_tooltip player_id='586777' first='Nemiah' last='Carper'] was named the Stock Up's Avoli Committed athlete for several reasons. On the court, she is just so physically gifted. A player who is 6'1, a long wingspan and a great vertical, it doesn't take much for her to dominate. Carper is one of the hottest players to watch entering the fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='787011' first='Isabella' last='Hernalsteen'] - Traverse City Central

Year after year there continues to be some impressive talent coming from the Leelanau peninsula coming to play at the Stock Up. [player_tooltip player_id='787011' first='Isabella' last='Hernalsteen'] is yet another highlight from the otherwise underrated area. Quick, versatile and full of different shots, this was a fun introduction to this young player. I was a big fan of the energy she brought and will look forward to see her impact with TCC.

[player_tooltip player_id='727743' first='Jada' last='Austin'] - Utica

We always talk about the Utica school down the road but never too much of Utica HS. [player_tooltip player_id='727743' first='Jada' last='Austin'] will look to put her team back on the map here over the next few years. Austin is a fun and explosive player. She has developed quite the range of shots, as sometimes depended on to hit just about anywhere. It bodes her well and gives her a deep pocket of tools.

[player_tooltip player_id='611100' first='Waverly' last='Hagen'] - Ubly

Not many talk about the Division 4 scene, but they definitely will because of [player_tooltip player_id='611100' first='Waverly' last='Hagen']. This player is most certainly the leader for player of the year nods in the division. At 6'2, Hagen's size is undeniable. But what is more impressive is her sheer physicality. Hagen is a STRONG player. She hangs with some of the most elite of middles. If used correctly, Hagen will be a force of nature throughout the fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='523415' first='Peyton' last='Tarmnel'] - Marshall

I have been seeing quite a bit of this player via social media in recent months. A first watch in person for [player_tooltip player_id='523415' first='Peyton' last='Tarmnel'], there is a lot of potential. Tarmnel is lengthy and can boast quite the hammer. When she is connecting with a ball, it can be quite destructive. Her consistency is something that haas vastly grown from what I've seen. This will do both her and Marshall well this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='728850' first='Emme' last='Dorchy'] - Royal Oak

This is a player that is poised to have a big year ahead of her. [player_tooltip player_id='728850' first='Emme' last='Dorchy'] is a name I was not aware of going into the showcase, but one to definitely keep an eye on. Dorchy is a strong attacker. She hits well both in front of and behind the setter. One foot, or both, Dorchy is just an athlete in the middle. Dorchy brings a lot of fire to the court and will be a go-to for Royal Oak.

[player_tooltip player_id='583927' first='Kailyn' last='Spolsky'] - Orchard Lake St. Mary

St. Mary's has itself an abundance of attackers to go to this fall. [player_tooltip player_id='583927' first='Kailyn' last='Spolsky'] is looking to make herself one of the primary ones. You very much get the sense that Spolsky wants it. She is a hard worker, always looking for feedback and to make her side better. When she connects with the ball, it is a heavy swing. She is also a skilled blocker with vastly growing lateral speed.

[player_tooltip player_id='584595' first='Jamie' last='Smith'] - Cass Tech

Maybe one of the smallest middles in the field, [player_tooltip player_id='584595' first='Jamie' last='Smith'] is most definitely not to be counted out. Where she may lack in height, she bolsters with an electric hop and a steadfast arm speed. Smith is coming off of a strong club season. Where she was seen in both the middle and on the right side, her versatility screams in her game. Smith is skilled offensive weapon and a sneakily strong blocker.

[player_tooltip player_id='569772' first='Lauren' last='Sheldon']

[player_tooltip player_id='569772' first='Lauren' last='Sheldon'] - Stoney Creek

I won't lie, [player_tooltip player_id='569772' first='Lauren' last='Sheldon'] may be one of my favorite players in this class. Regardless of position. This athlete just plays the game at such a high level and has grown leaps and bounds since we saw her last year at the Freshman Showcase. The name of her game is speed, and she is one of the fastest ones out there. Whether it is swinging at a ball, working to close a block or transitioning from the net, Sheldon is go-go at all times.

[player_tooltip player_id='849252' first='Hannah' last='Vought'] - Rochester

This is a player coming out of the showcase that I found to really enjoy. [player_tooltip player_id='849252' first='Hannah' last='Vought'] has something about her that screams big potential. This is a raw and lengthy athlete in the middle. In so many ways, Vought reminds me of Katerina Stout out of the 2025 class that is now killing it in her rookie preseason at Wayne State. Both bring similar qualities of the other. The length, the untapped potential and an ability to deliver when it matters. I'll be keeping tabs on this one.

[player_tooltip player_id='765783' first='Ava' last='Finney'] - Flushing

Speaking of some untapped, raw potential, [player_tooltip player_id='765783' first='Ava' last='Finney'] is oozing it. Sometimes when this player really got off the ground, I wasn't too sure when she would be coming back down. Her airtime is what really allows her to do some special things. I'll be curious to see her game develop throughout the fall. With an increased speed in her arm swing and transition game, Finney could rapidly become a force.
