Ellison plays for Arete out of McKinney, a program that has been building its reputation steadily in the North Texas club landscape, and the player who showed up at the Dallas Freshman Showcase reflected that investment. Her approach was purposeful. She attacked through the middle with efficiency and did not waste swings on low-percentage balls. Court coaches noted her footwork and the awareness she showed reading the block in front of her. Her leadership throughout the scrimmage segments was quiet but consistent, the kind that shows up in how a team responds rather than how loudly someone talks. At 5’10” with this kind of positional feel already in place, the 2030 class is going to be hearing her name for a while, and Grapevine is going to have a very interesting player walking into their gym this fall. Parsley will be with Grapevine in the upcoming high school season and just completed her club schedule with Arete Athletics . The middle has a high volleyball IQ and a great understanding of the game. That shows in different ways in her game, but more often in her offensive approach, as she adjusts her movement according to the pass and is never early or late, getting off the floor at the right time and being able to unleash all her power into swings. Parsley is well-versed offensively, being capable of hitting different sets in the middle and finding intriguing angles, and also makes an impact with her blocking, remaining patient and playing aggressively above the net.
