Each week we are going to take a look at 3 matchups throughout the upcoming week that are a MUST see. We will also have a Tournament of the Week to go with it. We have a few weeks that are officially in the books now. The 3rd edition of the rankings are officially out. We are about at the half way point of the season. Some teams have played upwards of 20 matches already. Now let's take a look at week 5.

9/9 Jenks @ Booker T Washington

Both teams are in the top 5 in this week's rankings. This is a cream of the crop matchup within the Frontier Valley Conference. Jenks is sitting at #4 in class 6A and BTW is sitting at #5 in class 5A. [player_tooltip player_id='740637' first='Lauren' last='Pero'] and [player_tooltip player_id='740833' first='Brooklyn' last='Dalgarn'] are both back from minor injuries and BTW is looking strong. They just got done winning back to back conference matches with Sand Springs and Muskogee. This would be a huge win for [player_tooltip player_id='286287' first='Arriana' last='Brown'] and company to get within the conference and for the class 5A rankings. Jenks on the other hand is coming off a 2nd place finish at the always premier Heather Harkness tournament. They picked up 3 big wins there over Deer Creek, Piedmont and Edmond North. They only dropped two matches and those were two of the best teams in the entire state. [player_tooltip player_id='808187' first='Cassidy' last='Williams'] has stepped up big and played above her age. [player_tooltip player_id='740709' first='Isabella' last='Hinds'] has done a great job commaning the offensive end. [player_tooltip player_id='756449' first='Faizah' last='Omotayo'] and [player_tooltip player_id='741012' first='Jordyn' last='Payne'] are forces up front that you better account for.

9/11 Edmond Memorial @ Edmond Santa Fe

Edmond Memorial started the season with two early losses in the BA tournament but has not lost a match since. They are starting to really pick up steam behing front row players like [player_tooltip player_id='578520' first='Mackenzi' last='Law'], [player_tooltip player_id='752750' first='Averie' last='Mannschreck'], [player_tooltip player_id='816085' first='Lolufe' last='Adedeji'] , Julianna Thorton, and and AK Bajema. Santa Fe has plenty themslves with [player_tooltip player_id='822748' first='Blair' last='Smith'], [player_tooltip player_id='454285' first='Eden' last='Miranda'], [player_tooltip player_id='806881' first='Nayeli' last='Dragoo-Crawford'], [player_tooltip player_id='752599' first='Caryl' last='Womack'], [player_tooltip player_id='297161' first='Kalli' last='Fox'], and standout freshman EJ Rice. She will defienlty be high in our rankings when those drop. If you are in the city and not busy, this is the place to be.

9/11 Bishop Kelley @ Victory Christian

Here is a battle between two of the best private schools in the Tulsa area. They have combined for more state titles than we can count on our hands. Kate Moore and Kennedy Roecker have been a huge piece of the Comet offense on the outside. [player_tooltip player_id='805051' first='Caroline' last='Cohlmia'] is a great leader and passer while in transition. VC has plenty of top tier talent as well. ORU Commit, [player_tooltip player_id='297123' first='Ana' last='Appel'] is one of the best setters in the state. Her ability to block and hit makes her lethal in all aspects of the game. [player_tooltip player_id='301378' first='Lanee' last='Heflin'] is back and better than ever in the back row. [player_tooltip player_id='743044' first='Heidi' last='Torgerson'] has been a great addition to go along with middle blocker [player_tooltip player_id='818961' first='Simi' last='Adeyemi'].
