She is very effective through quick options around her setter as she and get the ball off her arm quickly and with good speed. Top five offensively in the GWOC for total kills, Finney is averaging 2.2 k/s on a .298 efficiency. Where she also makes a big impact is defensively at the net as she leads the league in total blocks with 44 for a 4.4 blocks per match average.</p>

<p><strong>Claire Jurica</strong> - 2026 | Hoover<br>Jurica leads the state in total assists heading into a new week. With 352 total dimes in 2025, she is averaging 10.1 a/s as Hoover is unbeaten at 9-0. With 504 total assists in 2024, Jurica is the primary setter and on pace to surpass that total in the coming weeks given her current total in the distribution phase. The 5'6 senior has a few career milestones ahead of her include marks of 1,000 assists, 600 digs, and 100 service aces. She and her Vikings teammates next take on Jackson and McKinley. </p>

At 5'11, she uses her length and athleticism well in multiple phases of the game. As an attacker, she elevates well with a high elbow swing that also shows some good speed. She defends well at the net while also using her physical tools to her advantage to develop range when digging. In their recent match versus Worthington Kilbourne, Damron posted a career best 19 kills as the Golden Eagles won 3-1.</p>

<p><strong>Hope Vernon</strong> - 2027 | Walnut Hills<br>On pace to have her best varsity season yet, Vernon is averaging just over two kills per set for Walnut Hills. Top 15 in the ECC offensively, she is fluid in her movement around the court in her passing, transition, and approach patterns. At 5'10, she gets good lift and can challenge the defense with a high arm swing. In their most recent win, Vernon led Walnut Hills with 14 kills, six service aces, and five digs.</p>
