Putting a single positional designation on Hartman can be challenging. She has excelled in various roles throughout her prep career, but her second-contact excellence is likely her biggest strength. Hartman is averaging nearly nine assists per set for a second-straight season, helping Conway Springs climb the 2A order with a 24-9 record. Hartman hustles to get her feet to the ball on any pass, but her tireless effort is only part of the story. She also spends some time blocking in the middle in her frontcourt rotations, further complicating opposing scouting reports. That’s just a small glimpse of Hartman’s vast versatility.

Hartman can find a few different ways to pack the stat sheet. She was a phenomenal second-contact leader in her sophomore year with Conway Springs, finishing with nearly 800 total assists while playing around the dial. Beyond these distribution numbers, Hartman was one of the Cardinals’ most effective blockers against the hard-hitting outsides in Class 2A. Conway Springs has jumped out to a 5-2 start with Hartman returning to form as the leader of the operation. Don’t forget to look out for this setter’s lethal serve, too.
