Annandale Cardinals Accumulate Another Win

The Annandale Cardinals swept the Central Raiders Tuesday, September 16th. Although it was a non-conference match-up the Annandale showed up increasing their record to 11-2. Below are the Cardinal players blowing fans away!    As a senior middle blocker, Dingmann's fast approach and swing quickly becomes problematic for the opposing offense. Her fast transitions off the net, put her in the position to play any ball. She runs multiple routes with communication from her setter and finds a way to get the ball around the block. Dingmann's ability to swing to both sideline and deep corner keeps her opponents guessing. Her blocking footwork puts her in a great position to close the block on pins and get great touches to help out her team's defense.     Hermes has a high swing allowing her to hit over the block and into defensive seams on the other side. As a senior outside for the Cardinals, she has a quick approach and a fast swing to get the ball down. Her sharp cross shot makes it nearly impossible for the defenders to make a play. Her strategic way of placing the ball around blockers keeps the defense on their toes. Hermes has a high and strong block to make hitters think about their play.     Lee has an amazing jump float serve that easily racks up points for the Cardinals. Her ability to serve deep, short, and to the sideline makes it had for the opposing team to adjust. In the front row she has a fast approach and swing. Her ability to guide the ball where she wants it with minimal error is amazing. Lee can read the blockers and defense and will roll shot, tip, throw or swing the ball depending on her read to create success for her team. As a junior, the Cardinals will have a big hitter for their competition to fear next season as well.     Edmonson has outstanding speed and agility as a middle blocker. She quickly transitions off the net and is ready to make any play. She approaches quickly to her setter and finishes with a fast swing. Edmonson runs many different routes and has great communication with her teammates. She is able to read and work around the block by roll shotting, tipping, or swinging sideline. Her blocking footwork is quick and flawless allowing her to close the block on the pins and set a block in the middle that causes chaos for the opponents.     Lee is a sophomore setter for the Cardinals and does not disappoint. She is in a 5-1 rotation and makes an equal impact in the front and back row. Her release to the net puts her in position to move the the ball quickly, square up her hips, and provide a great ball for her teammates to attack. She hustles to out of system balls and works hard to get her hands their. Her placement of the sets allows for her hitter to be successful no matter where the set is coming from. Lee is a strong server that can make points for her team. All around Lee is dominating the court and making her presence known.     Schuler is a sophomore starting libero for the Cardinals and her skill does not go unnoticed. Defensively she is able to read the hitter and move to make the best play on the ball. She has loud communication that allows her teammates to adjust to the play as well. She footwork and platform control allows her to use her legs to get a high pass right where her setter needs it. She is amazing at getting up to cover hitters. Schuler's hustle is amazing and she will always find a way to get a touch on the ball. She is an all around positive player and dominant force on the team.
