2026 Back Row All Stars 4-6A

We have done 2026 pins, 2026 setters, 2026 middles, and now for the glue that holds it all together we have our 2026 liberos all stars! During our scouting we found so many great liberos from the big school ranks that we could have on our list. There are a number of girls who are seniors that have a chance to be all region performers that didn't make our list. That shows you the depth and level of talent that this list has!   Without further ado, here are the senior libero all stars from the class of 2026 with some analysis about their game!    The number one libero in the class and she can do it all! Currently this season she is leading the team in aces and digs along with being top 5 in her region for both those as well. She is averaging over 4.5 digs a set, which is an impressive number at the 6A level with her schedule so far this season.   On defense this Alabama commit is a elite-level defender with a fast reaction time and strong anticipation. She reads hitters early, which shows a advanced understanding of hitters approaches and arm swings. A rare trait is she covers seams efficiently and takes control of the backcourt even with the high level teammates she has. She is the undefined leader of that back row in defense and serve receive. She displays excellent body control when digging out-of-system balls; rarely letting a playable ball die, 100% effort on every play and gets touches on balls you wouldn't see some girls get.   In serve receive she reads serves exceptionally well with early platform preparation and flawless movement. One of my favorite parts is she anchors serve receive with confident communication. She can handles float and short/deep serves with clean platform angles and precise directional passing to target. Her setter rarely has to move when she passes and seems to always have the team in system when she is served at in serve receive.   Without question, one of the best liberos in this class and the nation. Is easily in the running for conference defense player of the year and an easy choice for 2026 back row all star!     Another top level libero in this senior class, I would see this as a 1A or 1B with counterpart in [player_tooltip player_id='448314' first='Erin' last='Clark'] in this class. Committed to Wake Forest next year, this senior is leading the whole state in digs this year! She averages over 5.9 a set and has chipped in 42 aces as well.   On of the best parts about her game is her quickness and agility she shows on the court. She has a very explosive first step and amazing lateral movement that makes her get to the right spot early and often to get her platform ready to pass. This also a great help as she transition extremely well between defense and coverage since she has this quick and fast movement.   Another part of her game is her high IQ while the game is going on and ability to see things before they are happening. She reads hitters well and seems to know where the ball is going before the setter even releases the ball. She is technically sound in her defense and serve receive which makes sure she is never in the wrong position at any point and all her passes seem to seamlessly go to the target each and every play keeping her team in system the whole time.   Mattea is an easy choice for top liberos in this senior class and her game will translate seamlessly to the D1 level next year. We see her as a day 1 contributor in college next year and know she will represent AZ well!     Marianne is not what you would call a flashy libero (and we mean this as a complment) because she is so consistent at an elite level with her game. She is a libero that every setter wants on their team, and every coach would love to have on their team. Just elite level consistency with her game, communication, and leadership.   As for the technical aspect to her game, you will see Marianne as a quick twitch athlete who has some exceptional foot speed and lateral movement while always keeping a low center of gravity. She has an excellent reaction time that allows her to move to the correct angle she needs to pass at the elite level of consistency we mentioned earlier.   A favorite part of her game that I have seen is she has a ability to control balls that were deflected by the block, and balls that are touched by her seem to always be a playable second ball her teammates can use. Rarely is she ever beaten by an attack and ever more rare that she doesn't get a playable touch on the ball. She is very vocal and shows great leadership qualities with her control of the back row in serve receive and defense.   She will arrive next year at Middle Tennessee State ready to contribute and will probably do so from day 1. She has been a top level libero in AZ for years and we are happy to add her to the back row all star list!     Alayna is committed to play at Grand Canyon next year for volleyball and Lopes got themselves a top tier libero to say the least. She is a very tall and athletic libero who the Lopes will love that she gets so many touches during rallies.   Watching her you will see a libero who has a clean platform and has very quick reads that lead her to a lot of digs in defense. She anchors her teams serve receive with an elite level of consistency and communicates early to take all seam balls and out of system touches she can. Her ability to stay balanced through contact and her exceptional footwork allow her to pass absolute dimes each and every play.   In defense and serve receive her touches are purposeful and accurate which help her team stay in system even when the rally has been chaos. One highlight and area she shines is her ability to read tips and keep rallies alive with her top level touches. She has this ability to see the tip before it happens and because of her footwork and exceptional movement, she gets touches on balls that normally would fall on other teams.   She is the definition of a reliable libero, and the kind of player that every college would love to have on their team anchoring their back row. A great pick for this article and can't wait to watch her next year at Grand Canyon.     Kalli is a very technically sound player who thrives in high intensity matches. She is what we would call a gamer and someone you would want to have on your team in crunch situations.   One thing that makes Kalli stand out is her serving. She has a very good jump float serve that is simple, steady, and disruptive. It isn't necessary about speed but accuracy and she consistency hits her targets and targets the weaknesses of the opponent with each serve.   What separates her serve from other liberos on the list is how quickly she transitions after she serves. The moment after she servers she is already on the court scanning the opponents and reading their hitters to be in the best possible position for her team. Most importantly she is known for making players around her better, with her leadership, energy, and all out effort.   The University of San Diego is getting a real winner in Kalli, she is a very sound technical player whose game will translate at the next level.     Centennial has a real winner here in Kate. A NAU commit she is the backbone for the Coyotes this year and one of the best liberos in 5A to say the least. The Lumberjacks got a real steal in Kate, and she should be able to contribute early for them next season.   Her game starts with her first touch, and she is elite in that regard. It doesn't matter if it is serve receive, defense, or coverage, her platform is consistent and always on target for the her team. Her movement on the floor is effective and intentional and this helps her delevier passes to the setter in total control.   In defense she never gets caught guessing, she always knows where she is suppose to be because her volleyball IQ is through the roof. She uses her quick feet and explosive lateral movement to get to the spot and her defense is based on anticipation and not just reactions. She reads intent from hitters so well and anticipates just as well to reaction for a touch off the block. Her footwork is second to none, and is impressive with her range in that regard.   She is a strong candidate to make a big jump come our rankings update. She is a very high caliber player who every coach would want to have on their team. We see her doing very well at NAU in the years to come.     Avalon will be staying in Arizona next year as she is commit to NAU and the Lumberjacks got a good one as well, so if you haven't seen her play yet you still can for the next 4 years.   On the volleyball court Avalon is averaging 3.1 digs a set and does so with a tremendous ability in reading hitters ahead of time. She has a very fluid motion with her defense and seems to anticipate very well to the ball and filling space when needed. She has great footwork and good lateral movement that gets her sideline to sideline when needed. She always has good balance with her movement too and when she contacts the ball it allows her to dig in control and makes minimal mistakes.   In serve receive she has a keen ability of reading the serve right off the hand and will get her feet to the ball quick and have a solid platform for a perfect pass to the setter more times then not. She does well keeping her team in system and is a big reason why the Aztecs are 23-2 on the season. Her voice and energy are also very obvious both in person and on film. You know exactly where she is on the floor and is a great teammate to have as well.   Someone with as much poise, ability, and energy as Avalon makes it real easy to make her one of the top liberos from this senior class. We look forward to seeing her in the playoffs and the coming years at NAU.     Salpointe has done very well in 4A this year, and a lot of that is attributed to the depth of that team and the level of defense they play this year. Part of that amazing defense and talented team is 2026 Libero/DS [player_tooltip player_id='874836' first='Nicole' last='Monge'].   Nicole has top level defensive instincts and her range on defense is out of this world. She has a elite positioning and is always in the right spot to take hard driven down balls and keep her team in system. Even when she is slightly out of position she is able to still get her arms in a position to pass the ball to the setter.   She plays with a lot of composure as well, doesn't matter if it is late in the set in a must win point, or the first point of the first set. You can never tell she is nervous and her teammates feed off of the fact that she is unshakeable. She plays with a ton of energy and passion that we love to see out of a libero.   Her combination of technical ability, high court IQ, and energy make her a high level libero for the class of 2026 and an easy pick to be a top libero for this class.     Kami does a lot of things well, normally when we talk liberos we either talk about how energy they bring to the floor or we talk about the stability a libero will bring to the back row. Kami does both of these really well, and stands out as a consistent and elite presence for her team on defense and serve receive.   Her serve receive is elite as she is the type of player you can build your serve receive around and create a system tailored to your team as she will always keep you in system. She has the ability to take the seams from her big hitters so they can load faster and does a wonderful job covering her hitters and recycling balls for her team to continue to be in system on offense.   Defensively she is wonderful at reading tips and anticipating any type of off-speed shots that may come about. She gets to those shots so fast it makes it seem like she knew they were coming before the hitter did. She has great footwork which is attributed to the fact she always picks up all these shots. She is great in serving too, as teams are constantly out of system or not in rhythm as she is deadly accurate with her serves.   A big reason the Mustangs have done so well this year and are in the hunt for a state title, and a top level libero make it easy to have her on this list.     Caprice has helped Chaparral to a number 1 ranking in the 5A conference this year at the time of this article. She has been one of the catalyst for this team during that time and is someone to be on the lookout for when her team plays.   One thing she does extremely well is she doesn't chase the ball, she owns the space she is in and is just super confident in her reads of the hitters. This goes for her ability to read the tips, line shots, deep angles, she can see it all and owns the space.   Her form is textbook, and her range seems to be limitless on the floor. When opponents think they have found open space... they have not as it is swallowed up by Caprice in a moments notice. She plays quickly and is able to adjust on the fly if the other team is making adjustments. A true student of the game and with her high volleyball IQ, there are not a lot of things that she doesn't pick up on in her serve receive or defense. Teams tend to stay away from her and for good reason.   Next year she heads off to Biola University where she should do well from day 1. She is easy one of the better liberos in this class and a mainstay for AZ volleyball. She is great example as to an all around libero and deserves to be on the list of top senior liberos.     Heejin is a defensive wizard for Mountain Ridge and keeps them in plays and rallies when the ball would be terminated on a lot of teams. Currently she is averaging 4.2 digs a set which is one of the top marks in her region at the moment.   On the defensive side of the ball her platform is about as clean as it can get at the high school level. She is balanced and always squared to the target creating a high number of quality chances for her team to run in system plays. She does a great job at absorbing hard driven down balls and loses 0 control. It is basically like she is passing a free ball with how effortlessly she does that.   Her serve receive is precise as well. She seems to be very technical with her form and it has shown on the court. She has a rock solid platform and good balance through her movement and reads the serve so early it is like she is in their mind as they serve. Heejin also does well commanding the back row and making sure everyone knows their roles and responsibilities. She has a calming presence about her and the team seems to follow suit with her.   A technically and sound libero is just what every team needs. Overall she could be one of the best ot ever go through Mountain Ridge when it is all said and done. Her ability alone makes her an easy pick for the back row all stars.     Ema is a top level libero from the 4A class and has really shined this season for the Titans. She is currently averaging 4.9 digs a set and is currently 4th in 4A in total digs.   Being a libero is a tough gig but one thing Ema does is she thrives in chaos! When things are getting crazy on the court and things are going 100 MPH she just seems so calm and poised and just a relaxed presence on the floor. Her defense is great as she positions herself early in the attack and keeps a low and athletic base to move toward the ball. She passes cleanly and is always following the ball to provide coverage as well.   Her serve and serve receive game is also top level! Her serve might not be the most aggressive but she has great control with it and the ability to move it short or deep at command. The opposing team is more out of system then in system when she serves as well. As for her serve receive, she reads the serve early and make clean contact often for a ball that is perfect for a setter to run the offense. She seems very comfortable taking seam balls and has no issue communicating with the other girls in the back row.   Her game translate so well, and is very easy to have her on the floor as the libero. We see her as one of the better liberos from this senior class and an easy pick for one of our all-stars.
