About Julia

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am currently on East Coast Volleyball clubs 14 black team. I also play volleyball for Virginia Beach Middle School. My middle school team was undefeated in my 7th grade season and we won the city championship. This past season in 8th grade I received the Most Valuable Player award. I am a member of NJHS and won my campaign for Secretary for SCA.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A significant challenge I faced through my career so far is becoming a six rotation player. I started playing as a traditional outside hitter but faced challenges through serve receive. By embracing a growth mindset, I put in countless hours into improving my game in the back row. Today, I'm a 6-rotation outside hitter who contributes to smart decision making on defense and offense wherever I am.

I have yet to see East Coast Volleyball Club Black play but I hope to see them in Indy. Julia is a six rotation left side player who stands six foot. She won an MVP award as an 8th grader. Definitely worth a watch.
