There is PLENTY of young talent from around the state, and they certainly showed out in multiple ways. With a quick arm and a springy nature to her, she used all of the shots in her arsenal to dispatch the International School this past Saturday. Probably a DS or libero when she enters college, she's taking full advantage of her attacking abilities at the moment. Her season ended in a four-set loss, yet her stat line—-17 kills, 27 digs and 16 service receptions without error—-shows that leadership comes in all sizes.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='809837' first='Rachel' last='Bonde'] and Bailey Bonde, MBs, Trinity Lutheran</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I'm going off script for this part of the article by listing two from the same team. In this special case, without one of them, it's possible TL doesn't make it this far. Their dominance continued this past Saturday when they swept North Decatur, and both are All-State honorees that are focal points of the Cougar offense. Rachel, the sophomore, finished with 14 kills, hitting .500, while adding 6 digs and 4 blocks, while Bailey, a senior, had 13 kills, hitting .524 with 2 digs and 2 blocks. In their three-set loss to #4 Rossville last Saturday, Emily finished with 11 kills and 9 digs in what was otherwise not the brightest of days for Northfield.
