About Ella

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is a mix between consistency, versatility, and aggressiveness. I go for every ball and send it over consistently, while also trying to put the ball away no matter how a game is going, or where I am on the court.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality on the court is very driven and focused, I’m determined to push myself to be my best and stay focused on the task at hand. Personality wise, I’m very outgoing and am very passionate.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am currently involved in student council and on the honor roll at my high school. At my 8th grade graduation, I received the President’s Education Awards Program recognition for Outstanding Academic Excellence, the highest academic honor awarded. Additionally, in both 7th and 8th grade, I earned Martin Luther College Meet Math awards for strong performance and participation.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through student council, I have developed leadership, responsibility, and communication skills. Playing team sports throughout my life has strengthened my teamwork, discipline, and determination, while reinforcing my strong work ethic and commitment to self-improvement.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A significant challenge I have faced is maintaining my mental health while balancing academics, leadership, and athletics. Overcoming self-doubt and working through multiple injuries taught me resilience, self-awareness, and the importance of perseverance, helping me grow as a stronger student, athlete, and teammate.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that will take me for me and that will provide me with a good athletic program as well as good academics.
