Wisconsin 2027s That Need More Attention - Setters and Liberos

Junior year can always be a big one when it comes to recruiting.  The high school season is over, hopefully athletes are taking a little break, and during that break is a good time to look at some video, get the highlights together, and start chatting with some college coaches.  Here are some 2027 setters and liberos we need to talk about more.  They are coming off strong high school seasons and ready to take on the 2026 club season.    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-wp-embed is-provider-prep-dig wp-block-embed-prep-dig"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://prepdig.com/2025/11/what-2028s-are-ready-for-impact-at-wisconsin-exposure-tour/?itm_source=parsely-api </div></figure>    Abby Beaumont was a floor general for the Falcons this fall.  The Sheboygan Falls junior finished the season with just over 900 assists, good for eight per set.  I was able to coach against Beaumont a couple times throughout the season and was really impressed with her ability to keep the defense off balanced.  She was also able to take a chaotic first ball and put it up for her attackers to take a swing.  There is a scrappiness and edge to Beaumont in the most positive way. She will be playing for [program_tooltip program_id='428591' first='FC' last='Elite'] this winter and will be one to keep tabs on for coaches in the market for a 2027 setter.      This was another athlete I was able to coach against this fall, and what a joy to watch Otto run the show.  There is no set out of range for Otto, her ability to be off the court and push it out to the pin with ease.  She was also able to run tempos in front of her as well as behind.  She was able to change up her front line with attackers flying everywhere, a well oiled machine.  The discipline, grit, and IQ are the intangibles you want in every setter and Otto has it.  She will be at 1W out of Green Bay for a loaded 17s team who should be exciting to watch.      [player_tooltip player_id='741615' first='Julia' last='Schneider'] was quite the QB1 for Oak Creek who advanced once again to the D1 state tournament.  She put up stellar numbers with 866 assists on the season, good for 7.2 assists per set.  She has played her club ball for Southwest of the Milwaukee area who has had a talented group of 2027s.  With over 1,000 assists in her career she will start prepping for a big senior season and plans to set at the next level.      Milli Kreif is textbook when it comes to her footwork, hands, and distribution to her attackers.  She commands the court with poise and maturity as well.  As a junior she has over 1600 assists in her career and has even racked up nearly 700 digs.  With a big senior year she could be looking at over 2,000 assists and digs.  She has been a key piece of the success of the Class of 2027 at I AM Volleyball club who is making a name for themselves in the Badger Region consistently producing high level teams where they are also seeing big success on the high school courts as well.      [player_tooltip player_id='741089' first='Addie' last='Schaper'] is another state tournament athlete who had a huge 2025 season, leading Luther out of Onalaska to the state tournament.  She averaged 8.5 assists per set, good for 863 assists this season.  She also had 269 digs and 70 aces.  Her presence is felt in all facets of the game. She plays her club ball for Elevate out of the Tomah area where a lot of Western Wisconsin athletes are finding success.  We will be seeing her at more Prep Dig Events in 2026.      There is something refreshing about a libero where you watch them and it looks effortless.  [player_tooltip player_id='800624' first='Morgan' last='Vetter'] commands the back court for Kewaskum and I AM Volleyball where everything is so smooth.  She makes difficult plays look really simple.  She anticipates well where her feet are to the ball and there is no unnecessary movement.  With her ability to beat the ball to the spot, she knows how to get her offense rolling.  At Kewaskum she has collected nearly 1400 digs in her career, including 497 this season alone.  I AM VBC 17 Red will be a team to watch this club season where there are plenty of 2027s who could be utilized at the next level.     What I enjoy about the state tournament is getting to see new players thrive on the big stage.  That was [player_tooltip player_id='808580' first='Elizabeth' last='Kieselhorst'] for Luther Prep where they would be runner up finishers in D3.  There was a presence about Kieselhorst where aside from her ability to serve receive and defend at a high level, she brings solid intangibles to the court with her communication and ability to connect with her teammates.  She is just shy of 1,000 digs in her career as she collected 454 digs in her junior season.      She's always there!  If you are coaching or playing with [player_tooltip player_id='435880' first='Analise' last='Coon'], you love it.  However if you are playing against Coon, it can be frustrating :)  Coon is a gamechanger on the court where her range stands out with her ability to pick up the tips, throws, the hard swings, she knows how to get it done.  She averaged five digs per set, good for 431 on the season.  She will be playing her club ball for [program_tooltip program_id='428591' first='FC' last='Elite'] this season and her athleticism, skill, and physicality will be something college coaches want at the next level.      [player_tooltip player_id='797527' first='Olivia' last='Haselwander'] went from not playing much at all as a sophomore to collecting 480 digs this season alone, good for five digs per set as Regis was the state runner up in D4.  Regis has continued to be a name to know with athletes heading to strong D3 programs around the state.  Haselwander would be one to have on that radar, she's part of the system and carrying plenty of momentum after a big 2025 high school season.
