About Leighton

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Aggressive and energetic, and also smart with plays. Hard serves with speed and topspin.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Don’t give up till the game is over, encourage teammates to keep fighting throughout the whole game even is we are loosing or have a big lead

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in FCA and participate regularly in my church community. While I am not currently part of many additional clubs, I enjoy volunteering and am always open to joining new organizations, particularly those connected to marine biology, beach-focused activities, strong academics, or sports.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve learned to keep a good attitude toward my coaches and teammates during a hard game

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that offers strong academics, competitive athletic opportunities, and robust programs in marine biology or coastal studies. Ideally, the school would be located near the beach and provide a supportive, well rounded environment that balances both academic and athletic development

Coaches have taken notice as her court coach spoke highly of her leadership and the way she elevates those around her. Leighton’s hustle, positivity, and team-first mindset make her the type of player any coach would love to have on their roster. Despite her height, she proves that heart, effort, and leadership can make just as big an impression as physical tools.
