About Ava

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my game play style as being competitive and strategic by knowing where to place the ball mid rally. I excel at picking up ball in defense and serve receive to keep the rally alive. Being a well rounded player I adapt to the flow of the game all while keeping my team motivated with a positive attitude.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Something that stands out about me is how mature I am on the court which has developed from playing up in age brackets my whole volleyball career. This maturity shows by how I recover from mistakes, to supporting my teammates. I am a good teammate and hold my teammates accountable to set us up for success while also encouraging them so we thrive as a team.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Community service helped me build responsibility and empathy on and off the court.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A challenge in my volleyball career has always been being the youngest on all my teams. Which has led me to getting out of my shell, to fit in and make friends.

What type of college are you looking for?

Looking for a college that aligns with my academic career and has a competitive volleyball program.
