Prospect Lookout: Outsides Trending Upward

A new club season brings about the opportunity for new names and numbers to shine. They may not be the biggest names in their respective classes, but their improvement, athleticism, and production is something you cannot ignore. Each outside featured on this list has shown flashes of high-level potential. From high-level blocking, solid passing, and crafty scoring these pins are set to gain traction and make an impression.    What sticks out the most about [player_tooltip player_id='892969' first='Destinie' last='Hampton'] is the last two steps in her approach. With her last two steps, her timing is efficient, she makes good adjustments, and keeps the ball in alignment to take smart, effective swings. Her high reach and contact on the ball helps her swipe, tool, or power through blocks. She puts good power and pace behind the ball while showcasing her ability to move the ball around. Passing wise, Destinie has good technique and eye-work that helps her create in system passes and play defense.     Faith Kittle is a great passer and solid defender with good ball control. She has the ability to identify where the ball is going early off the servers hand and execute the pass. While playing defense she manages tough balls and understands and executes the responsibilities she has on defense at a high level. As an attacker she knows when to manage and has a good shot selection that helps her score in and out of system.     [player_tooltip player_id='804968' first='Brynlie' last='Cornia'] is an explosive athlete and a kid you don't want to miss. She is very dynamic and athletic at the net and has a lot of different tools she utilizes to score. She packs a lot of power behind the ball and elevates easily to annihilate balls that are pushed to her. She has good passing technique and mechanics that makes her a good 6-rotation outside with solid backcourt defense.     [player_tooltip player_id='836730' first='Olivia' last='Surrage'] was a force for Fremont Silverwolves. She has a fast arm and can jump high which helps her be terminal at the net. She showcases good range and tools to help her score -- even if she's off balance. Olivia is one of those outsides who is very shotty and likes to throw in different looks to keep defenses on their toes, but can also detonate a ball. Her footwork helps her get the ball out of system and take big rips to score. She has great energy that fuels the momentum in the right moments.     [player_tooltip player_id='897926' first='Kambree' last='Potter'] is a solid 6-rotation outside. She can pass, play defense, and put the ball away. When she's at the net, she has different ways she likes to score and find her kills. Even if she has a double in front of her, she can rip hard off the block, swing hard high line, or send a sharp tip back to 4. Her footwork is efficient out of system which helps her create good swings and stay offensive. Kambree as a passer has a quiet platform with strong angles and as a defender she hustles and has the ball control to manage anything that comes her way.     Athletic, dynamic, and versatile. [player_tooltip player_id='827638' first='Poppy' last='Pauga'] is a true ball-control outside. She is a solid passer with great technique and mechanics which makes it easy for her to create great passes out of serve receive. On defense she's quick to identify a tip and chase it down or set up where she needs in order to see her hitter better. She is great at managing out of system balls and placing it in the right spots. Poppy can attack high off the block and has the ability to absolutely crush the ball. She has the tools to score -- consistency is still developing, but she's rapidly growing into a more efficient, high-impact attacker.”     [player_tooltip player_id='815477' first='Kylee' last='Harper'] is unique in this list because she is not limited to just playing outside. Her versatility shines through when she is playing middle or outside at a competitive level. She has solid power coming through her swing and demonstrates a developing range. Her athleticism and height grant her the ability to be a weapon as an attacker. What truly elevates her game as an outside is her blocking -- something you don't often find in outsides -- which she clearly excels at thanks to her experience as a middle. Kylee reads hitters well, knows where to set up, and presses hard. As her consistency continues to grow, she's on track to become an even more efficient and reliable offensive option.
