She takes the right approach to attacking the ball at a high clip. After seeing her live again last week, I continue to be impressed with how well she mixes up her shots. She knows when to attack hard cross-court, find the deep corner, or take something off with a roll shot. She has all the tools in her arsenal.

One part of her game I didn’t see as much previously was her serving. She is a weapon behind the service line and can put pressure on a defense before the rally even gets started. She is a player I expect to continue rising in the Class of 2029. She is currently averaging close to 2.5 kills per set, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see that number continue to climb.

Coming to work with your toolbox is important, and Termini came ready to do business. What stood out to me, especially for a rising sophomore, was her shot selection and ability to adjust to what was given to her. She mixed things up depending on the location and quality of the set, showing she didn’t need a perfect ball to find a way to be effective. Termini showed a good feel for identifying what shot was available and where she could attack the defense. That ability to process what she sees and make adjustments in the moment was one of the highlights of her day and gives her a nice foundation to build on as she continues to develop.

Termini is the kind of athlete you want to rally around at the L2 position. She had several terminal moments at the Stock Up Showcase, but her work in the middle-back area locked up her inclusion in this feature. Termini was an unflappable passer during serve-receive drills, even while enduring constant shuffles and on-court chaos. This also applied to Termini’s floor defense, which kept her side alive in those six-on-six marathons. Sometimes, standout performances are made through the unheralded, “unflashy” plays.
