Herbert especially does a good job smoking balls down lines. Herbert also has sound timing on her blocking. Horning can make a number of sets and if the middle opens, she sends across a deceptive setover. Horning can make the simple passes defensively and provides sound net backup. May makes the simple passes and transitions from defense to her setter stance quickly. May then eyes the court and makes the proper sets. May makes the simple passes on soft and hard hit balls to get the Manual offense jumpstarted. May has developed an effective jump serve. Roberts takes nice swings from the right side and steps into her sets doing everything possible to hit the peak of the hitters' swings. Roberts makes a number of good first touches and is working on developing a nice jump serve. Roberts also puts up nice double blocks. Charles is a determined lefty that uses various angles to put balls down. Charles also sets a lot of dimes to her teammates.
