Herbert has taken huge steps forward during club season for 16 Green as a six-rotation player. Herbert has improved her decision-making as a setter during club season. Herbert influences things at the net with her sound blocking form. As a left-handed hitter, Herbert makes enough steps behind the net to put across solid cross shots. Herbert also does a good job lunging after balls under control to keep plays alive. Herbert adds in a sound jump serve. Herbert sends free balls across with a purpose and heavily encourages her teammates on the court. Herbert said she accepted a 16 Green position to get more repetitions at setter and find different ways to put hitters in position to succeed.

Herbert continues to find different ways to diversify her game. She does a good job setting up her teammates for success. Herbert can do a variety of short and long sets including back sets on one play then take quality left-handed swings on the next one. Herbert is a sound defender and mixes in a solid jump serve. Herbert can handle well-struck crosses. Herbert will only continue to grow.

The lefty does a good job involving a number of teammates running the offense and can make plays hitting the ball. Herbert especially does a good job smoking balls down lines. Herbert also has sound timing on her blocking. The enthusiasm she displays on the court carries over to her teammates.

A serious lefty who takes big swings Allie is a weapon on the court. We saw a ton of great energy and explosiveness from Allie’s play. She packs a left swing that literally brought the oppo backrow to their knees and can hit straight down the line into the corner. She has an amazing block with excellent height and timing with plenty of reach. She is absolutely solid as a RS pin and can angle those hits for a nice kill. She covers well on the front line and has fast reflexes to dig up a block if needed. She supports her teammates well and is an enthusiastic player. She brings her A game!

Herbert has been pounding out rockets, especially from her strong right side of the court. The lefty is doing what she can to contribute in all facets of the game for both her club team and the deep Mercy squad. Herbert has a great wrist snap to put great power into balls. Herbert can set up her teammates if necessary and has really developed good serves during club season.

Herbert is a lefty that could turn into a sound all-around player for the Jaguars over the next three years. Herbert has great angles and short arm swings making it tough on opponents, especially if they do not get hands on balls at the net. Herbert rallied UA 15 Black in the 16 Division title game with her serving as well. Herbert said that makes her feel good knowing she helped the team when she keeps opponents out of rhythm.
