This past weekend was Jingle Jam and it did not disappoint. It set a very solid bar for the rest of the season. We know there will be growth by all and we didn't see every team there but it's going to be an amazing year for Oklahoma volleyball. Let's look at a very important position on the court, setter. We had a really good group of setters in attendance. Let's look at six that stood out.

[player_tooltip player_id='920499' first='Cora' last='Weese'] #31 for Virago 14 Elite. Cora has busted her rump this past year and won the starting JV setter spot for Collinsville as a freshman. Her value far extends past her setting, she has a very reliable and tough serve to start rallies. She also is very coachable and has natural leadership tendencies. She is someone to watch come into her own over the next year or two.

[player_tooltip player_id='285769' first='Grace' last='Baughman'] #12 for [program_tooltip program_id='432025' first='OK' last='Charge'] 17 National. Grace has been a starter for the Zebras of Claremore almost her entire career. She was running a 5-1 all tournament long at Jingle Jam. She did a good job of being an attacker when she came to the front row, making defenses respect her as an option as well. She even got to throw in a couple top spin serves into the mix.

[player_tooltip player_id='773636' first='Andrea' last='Safari'] #7 for Virago 16 Elite. Andrea has very efficient footwork, which allows her to not spend a lot of energy and cover a lot of ground. When she is comfortable, she is jump setting. She is also strong enough to set against the flow, especially towards the outside hitter. Watch for her to have a huge growth this season with Virago's top team at this age.

[player_tooltip player_id='903628' first='Tenley' last='Richardson'] #9 for [program_tooltip program_id='432025' first='OK' last='Charge'] 15UA Tulsa. Tenley was very impressive. Victory has a really good option with Appel graduating. She had solid decision making especially for being this young. She was big in her team's run to the championship game where they fought hard against Charge Central. Watch for her to explode on the scene in 2026.

Evelyn Bruner #13 for [program_tooltip program_id='432025' first='OK' last='Charge'] 15 National. Evelyn is very crafty and has the tools to be an elite setter within her class. She just has a natural feel for the game and position. She is surrounded by top level players and she will flourish with Coach Oglesby. Evelyn made some big plays in big moments, especially with her decision making on who to go to in those moments.

Pramod Radha #24 for Premier 17 Diamonds. Much like her teammates we have already written about, she is hard working, scrappy and relishes in competing against good teams. She has that soft touch most coaches look for in a setter. Good, smooth finish that leads to consistent balls for her hitters.

Redlands is on the horizon and we will see you there! Tulsa Attack and 2029 rankings will be on the agenda after.
