In the Class of 2029, there were a lot of hungry players looking to make a name for themselves. There was also one 2030 standout in this group, as well.

Here's the second part of our 2-part look at this group of prospects.

[player_tooltip player_id='885612' first='Ava' last='Lanni'], Henry Ford II/Monsters

Lanni brought a lot of good energy to the court and gave it her all throughout each drill and rep. She didn't slow down as play went on, either. Lanni showed the same effort from start to finish, and that allowed her to make some difficult digs.

[player_tooltip player_id='731427' first='Mazzey' last='McDonald'], Shepherd/Mid-Michigan Aces

McDonald does a nice job of being in good position at a consistent level. Though hitters may be looking for open space to attack, McDonald always seemed to fill in those spaces and be prepared to get a clean dig up. She never looked overwhelmed and took well to her coaching to help fine-tune any technique.

[player_tooltip player_id='913371' first='Bentlie' last='Kelley'], Ovid-Elsie/LHVBA

Kelley is a multi-position talent that puts her all into every aspect of the game. Along with making some tough defensive plays, she can also set, serve, and attack when needed. Kelley uses her hustle and determination to make a lot of tough plays and she will find a way to make an impact in each match.

[player_tooltip player_id='915670' first='Maddy' last='Willis'], Divine Child/Michigan Elite

Willis was a standout player, as she was a great all-around athlete that showed a lot of eagerness to improve. She was the first to the floor for each drill. She was vocal in support of her peers, while also feeling confident enough to take control when needed. On top of all that, she also made a lot of impressive plays and did so with smooth technique and control.

[player_tooltip player_id='915869' first='Cameron' last='Howland'], Bloomfield Hills/High Performance

Howland is coming off a big fall where she got an opportunity to help Bloomfield Hills reach the D1 final. She was a DS and serving sub for the Black Hawks and those are definitely her strong areas. Howland stays light on her feet while being able to react quickly to make an accurate pass to her setter.

[player_tooltip player_id='850640' first='Mia' last='Russo'], Notre Dame Prep/Monsters

Russo brought a lot of good intangibles to the court. She had everything you look for in a defender. She hustled, she stayed composed, and she communicated well. There wasn't a ball that Russo didn't give her all to get to. With these foundational skills, Russo is only going to get better and better as she sharpens the little things in her game.

[player_tooltip player_id='849359' first='Anna' last='McBride'], Country Day/High Performance

McBride seems to flow well with the action in the back row. She has a lot of control and makes last-second adjustments that just seem to come naturally to her. McBride doesn't get panicked, and maintains good consistency with her accuracy.

[player_tooltip player_id='851712' first='Alexys' last='Willis'], Heritage Hall/Oklahoma Peak (2030)

Willis made the trek from Oklahoma to help get some added exposure and this 2030 prospect did just that. She looked very confident from the start and it showed in her play. She was vocal throughout, both in directing traffic, but also in support of her peers. Willis also had a great serve and her back row swing was challenging for opponents. This kid has a high ceiling.
